Imagine! A few steps from your car you walk into one of our pristine, cozy and comfortable Rocky Mountain-themed chalets. Kick back and relax in front of the fire, or head out with your family or companions to our year' round heated outdoor pool and hot tub for a well-deserved soak. Our 900 sq. ft. two-story chalets (maximum of 6 occupants per chalet) have two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and are fully and comfortably furnished. Our well equipped kitchens come complete with complimentary Keurig coffee makers along with a deluxe selection of KCups. We’ve added slow cooker appliances for added convenience to make those family-friendly comfort meals while you’re out ‘n about enjoying the days. Common area BBQ’s are nestled in our lovely, private common area courtyard and are conveniently steps away from our chalets for your stay-at-home meals as well.

We offer our own private, free, high speed, VERY reliable WIFI and have also have installed Smart/AppleTV/Netflix TV options so you can enjoy hundreds of on-demand movies, TV shows, concerts, WSJ Live, Bloomberg channels for news, and more! You and your family will enjoy and appreciate all the personal touches only an owner would provide.

Situated around our welcoming courtyard, immerse yourself in Canmore's pristine mountain environment. We are within a 10-minute walking distance to downtown Canmore – a wonderful uncomercialized western mountain town that now boasts over 100 unique shops and 75+ gourmet restaurants. There are kilometers of forested walking paths located just outside our doors. You might also want to check out Canmore's new $40M recreation center – Elevation Place – boasting a huge climbing wall, multiple pools, a lazy river, watersides, hot tub, steam room, library, art gallery, drop in fitness/yoga classes and a great work out facility.

About Donna Scott

We bought our chalets as vacation property/investments to enjoy with our two daughters while living in Edmonton. We loved Canmore so much, we moved here in 2005. As an avid outdoor family, we've hiked, biked, kayaked, rock-climbed, nordic and downhill skied everywhere throughout our wonderful area -- truly a mountain lovers four season paradise. We know you'll love it too!

This is by far the most unique family friendly property in Canmore. Only 44 townhome-style units comprise this quaint resort and are all wrapped around a beautiful courtyard that houses a huge outdoor pool that is heated year-round and a fabulous 12-person hot tub. We loved the fact that you can drive right up to your chalet - no elevators, long corridors to deal with while unloading all your gear. It is a full 2 storey townhome concept so there is no one tromping around on top of you either - nice and quiet! There are picnic tables and barbecues beside the pool area that are available to use. There is also a common area movie/games room with a 65' flat screen 3D TV equipped with XBox Kinect, 3D movies and ping pong/foos ball tables everyone will enjoy. A true home away from home.

PICTURE PERFECT

Our family stayed at this Mystic Springs chalet at the beginning of September for one week and what a week we had!

In the months leading up to our visit, Donna was only too happy to answer all our questions to help us prepare for our trip and when we arrived everything was just perfect.
We even had snow!
Not sure how you pulled that one off Donna, but what a treat!!! :D

Donna also provided a guide book that she's written herself giving first time visitors (like ourselves) the inside scoop on all the beautiful lakes, hiking trails, and good places to eat in the local area.
When the weather closed in we got a lovely email from Donna asking if we were okay and offering a few suggestions on some indoor activities. It was much appreciated.

The chalet itself is lovely! It was clean, cosy and very well equipped, including super fast WIFI and it was an absolute pleasure to come home at the end of the day and curl up in front of that fire!
So to sum it up... the location is perfect. The area is incredibly beautiful and you wouldn't find a kinder and more accommodating host anywhere on the planet. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

Great Chalet

My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon stay with Out'N'About! The condo is very clean and very comfortable. It was quiet and we felt settled in at home very quickly. All of the little things are provided, even those little things you would have in your own kitchen at home, but wouldn't think to pack with you on a trip! The BBQ's were clean and efficient (and cooked a great steak!). We enjoyed several hikes and site-seeing destinations from the Out'N'About Guidebook, and found the Chalet conveniently within walking distance of downtown Canmore. My wife loved the Scoop'N Moose iced cream parlor and signature ice cream flavour, and the Rocky Mountain Bagel Company quickly became our favorite morning stop before venturing out for the day. (someone please send us some maple bagels to Winnipeg!) I would absolutely recommend this Condo to all my friends and family. This is a great destination for families, groups of friends, or couples looking to get away.

What a perfect place to stay!

What a perfect place for a vacation in the Rockies. The chalet is in a perfect location for a vacation in the Rockies. Walking distance to amenities and short drive to Banff (20mns). About 1/2 way between Calgary and Lake Louise (1 hour drive to each). The chalet is well maintained, very clean, has everything anyone might need and lots of personal touches from the owner (great job Donna!). It's "home away from home".
We did lots of hiking around (too many trails to name them all), the boys went Mountain Biking at the Nordic Center, we went White Water Rafting (the Canadian Rockies Adventure Center is only 5 minutes walk from the chalet), took the Banff Gondola to the Sulfur Mountain, did the cruise on Lake Minnewanka in Banff. If coming from Jasper, don't miss the Columbia Icefield Glacier and Skywalk on the Icefield Parkway.
I will recommend this chalet to all our relatives, friends and anyone who will ask. Found a great restaurant on our last day: the Iron Goat in Canmore (super friendly, very generous portions and amazing cook).
Thanks again Donna for making our stay so memorable.

Fabulous

As first time visitors to Canada from Scotland and Wales, we couldn't have picked a better chalet. The chalet was superbly equipped, spotlessly clean and with fantastic mountain views. We wanted to do as many hikes as possible in the time we were there and Donna's book was invaluable in pointing out suitable walks. I will certainly recommend this chalet to friends and family and if we come back to Canmore - which I hope we will - this is the chalet we will want to rent.

A Much Needed Getaway

Our young family hadn't had a vacation break from all the hectic aspects of big city living for quite sometime. Donna' s chalet and the Rocky Mountain spendor were the perfect answer for us for an extended stay. Her chalet was super cozy, well-appointed - she even supplied a new fold-'n go crib for our baby. The little ones were thrilled to be able to swim outside, even in the snow! We enjoyed many spring ski days and a fun tubing day up at Mt. Norquay. We hope to come again and stay here next year. Thank you Donna!
