You will love our condo. It is fun & convenient. At Casa Marquel, all that Cozumel has to offer is literally steps from your door. After visiting Cozumel for 25 years, staying at various all-inclusive resorts, we decided we wanted to buy a piece of this paradise. We chose a condo near “El Centro”. We love being able to walk just about everywhere and we know you will love it too. The condo is decorated with traditional Mexican “Rustico” furniture, making it homey and comfortable with all the conveniences of home. Casa Marquel has 1300 square feet of open living space with an additional 300 square foot balcony overlooking the pool and lovely garden area. Casa Marquel is safe and secure, located on the 2nd floor of this gated community. There is an elevator for your convenience, yet our condo is just a quick jaunt up and down one flight of stairs.

Condo accommodations can be significantly less expensive than staying at a hotel while offering many of the same amenities with much more living space. While this fabulous little island is famous for SCUBA diving, there are so many places to go, things to do and places to eat that you may never experience while staying in a hotel.

Casa Marquel’s comfortable living room has a flat screen TV with satellite U.S. channels. There is a Vonage phone so you can call home for free. There is also a local line for calling taxis, the dive shop or making reservations. We have free high speed, wireless internet. There is a safe which is large enough for most laptops.

There are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 large full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and one bedroom has 2 twin beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite bath, while the other 2 bedrooms share a full bath. You won’t have to flip a coin to see who gets the master bedroom, as there are privacy doors separating the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom from the main living area, so that it can be closed off, making another master suite.

All bedrooms have individual air-conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort. The living area also has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a separate laundry room in our unit with a washer and dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, silverware, blender, toaster, pitchers and glasses for margaritas. It also includes a dishwasher, large refrigerator, microwave and gas stove. There is even a juicer for fresh-squeezed orange juice! Fresh, clean bottled water is provided. A fun and special feature of our condo is the palapa-covered bar.

The large sparkling pool is absolutely beautiful! The spacious pool area is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and has 2 huge palapas with tables and chairs offering shade when you have had enough sun. There are plenty of lounge chairs for hanging by the pool…we can guarantee you’ll be doing a lot of that! A poolside BBQ grill is available by request. A rinse tank for scuba gear is located by the pool.

After spending the day at any number of awesome beaches or a day of SCUBA diving, you can enjoy the authentic cuisine of San Miguel de Cozumel that night. We will have many dining and activity suggestions for you in your rental packet.

Casa Marquel is only a block from the water and “Malecon” (waterfront drive) and is only four blocks from the center of town. There are dozens of great places to eat and drink within a short walk.

You do not need to rent a car, but if you chose to rent one, there is off-street parking.

A small grocery store is located just a couple blocks away and a convenience store is just across the street. There are two huge department stores with groceries that are just a short taxi ride.

Maid service is provided daily. Should any questions or issues arise, our property manager lives on-island and is available 24/7. English & Spanish are spoken. The rental management office can arrange any excursions.

It is fun to explore Cozumel. You can SCUBA dive a different reef every day. You can go to a different beach every day. You can eat at a different restaurant every day. You can go to a different bar every day…or if you find a place you really like, you can go there again and again…or you can stay in and enjoy time with your friends and family and cook some burgers on the grill. A game of cards on the balcony at night is always fun. You can also eat yummy Mexican pastries from the bakery down the street on the balcony for breakfast.

Our second stay in Marla and Cliff's condo. We feel so at home in their place! Comfortable beds, low key beach decor, great showers, kitchen with everything we need, internet works great, nice porch area and a large dining table that accommodates at least 8 when we have our friends over for dinner. We are divers so we love the big sink in the laundry room for rinsing out our gear. Also love the availability washer and dryer as this allows us to pack less clothing. The small portable fans really helped with getting our diving gear almost completely dry each day! While the location is at the north end of the town of San Miguel, we enjoy the 15 minute walk to and from the dive pier each day and to most places we eat and shop. If it's raining, a taxi to most places in the central are is $2 to $4. As Cozumel is our favorite place to dive, we plan to stay here many times in the future!

GREAT LOCATION AND ACCOMODATIONS

This place was great and I can't say enough about the owner's concern that we have a great time prior to arrival. We stayed here for Ironman Cozumel and it was very convenient. Short ride from the airport. Very walkable location and convenient to numerous great restaurants, only one block off the Malecon, and secure. Interior accommodations (especially the showers) were fantastic. Well appointed kitchen also. Maintenance and housekeeping staff were extremely responsive. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again if we are in Cozumel.

BEAUTIFUL CONDO, EVEN BETTER THAN THE PHOTOS!

Excellent condo, well stocked, really clean, well maintained, layout offers great privacy for two couples, good location, close to everything. Fantastic daily maid service, beautiful pool, can walk to shopping, bars and restaurants, but need a rental car or taxi to see the whole island. Owners and property manager on site was very knowledgeable and helpful and went out of their way to make our vacation really enjoyable. Highly recommended.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

We stayed 8 nights in Casa Marquel. It was really the perfect rental! Just as described and as the photos depicted on vrbo - very roomy, clean, comfortable beds, great AC, many amenities, nice balcony area in a lovely and quiet complex. You can tell from the way the condo is decorated that the owners actually enjoy spending time in it and take pride in their home. The large laundry room and full-size washer and dryer were appreciated as well as the large sink for rinsing out our wet suits. While we did not spend time at the large pool area, many families with young children did. Twice we cooked out on the gas grill near the pool area and our food was delicious. We dined at a number of the surrounding restaurants and actually enjoyed the daily walk (15 minutes) to catch our dive boat near Calle 5 Sur. This is definitely a place we will return to stay!
