A great place to stay in Paris!
My mom and I stayed here for 8 nights in April 2013 while vacationing in Paris. Natsumi (the owner) was extremely prompt in responding to our initial inquiry, and was very willing to share information and answer questions all through the process of setting up the reservation, providing payment, and giving us directions. Unfortunately, we were never able to meet her in person, but her assistant Liane met us during check-in and check-out, and she was also very helpful. It actually turned out we had a slight miscommunication regarding our arrival date. Natsumi thought we were arriving on the 22nd, but when we arrived on the 21st, we were still able to meet Liane and stay in the apartment that night regardless, and Natsumi gave us that night for free due to the misunderstanding.
The apartment had been recently renovated with new floors and paint and was very nice and clean when we arrived, despite us showing up earlier than expected. The windows all face a central courtyard and the neighborhood was very quiet the whole time we were there. Even though the apartment is surrounded by taller buildings, the skylight provides quite a bit of light, particularly in the afternoon. The location is GREAT-- there are several markets, boulangeries, patisseries, cafes, restaurants, and a butcher about a block south, so figuring out what to eat or cook was never an issue. The Metro station that connects to the #9 line is right there, although we ended up talking a little walk down to the Bastille to use the #1 or the #8 lines just as often. There is also a drop-in dance studio nearby if you're into that sort of thing (we were). No problems with any kitchen equipment or appliances, although figuring out the right number of clothes to fit in the washing machine took a little bit of trial and error (washing one day's worth of clothes for two people seemed to be the right amount). The computer was missing the drivers for the USB printer when we tried it, so we were unable to print anything, but Natsumi said she would look into getting that fixed. Still, these are minor issues-- we had a really great time seeing a less touristy side of the city and appreciated having this little place we could call our own (even if it was only for a week).
So, to summarize: great customer service, great apartment, great location, highly recommended. If we ever get to come back to Paris, we will most definitely check to see if this place is available!
