This past winter of 2013 was the second year I stayed at the Art Deco apartments in St. Pete. The location of these apartments is outstanding for taking advantage of the great downtown area of St. Pete and all the restaurants located there. Plus, the museums and other cultural venues. It’s also an easy walk to the park along Tampa Bay, an amazing outdoor space for one being located in an urban setting. And for a closer park for a little exercise or outdoor time, Crescent Lake park is just a few block away. (While I was there, I did not have a car, so having everything I needed within walking distance was of major importance to me.)
The apartment itself is extremely comfortable, with a layout that facilitated my need to do computer work. Despite being “trapped” inside when working, I was able to sit at the desk area in front of the window, so I could still enjoy the abundant Florida sunshine. The living/dining room area was spacious and very well appointed. The bedroom, even with its king-size bed, was plenty roomy and the large walk-in closet provided lots of storage space for clothes and personal items.
I found the kitchen to be well equipped and functional. And while I didn’t create any 5-course gourmet meals, I was quite pleased with the meals I was able to make for myself since I could find all the functional cooking items and utensils I needed.
The on-site laundry room is a HUGE bonus, especially when one is staying for an extended stay. No trips to a public laundromat and no need to sit in front of the machines waiting for them to complete. A short trip to check on the progress of the washer and dryer occasionally, with the rest of the time back in the apartment, made the laundry chore much easier.
In addition, when the weather was warm enough, there is a small patio area in front of the building where I could sit and read. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, so being outdoors in that setting was great relaxing time.
And Taylor is a very responsive landlord to help with any of your needs.
This is a great St. Pete rental!

I fell in love with Art Deco style after a trip to Miami's south beach. I was already in love with the Historic Uptown neighborhood, since I owned a house just down the street. When the building came up for sale I knew I had to own it! It was been a labor of love having done much of the work myself.
Located in Historic Uptown Neighborhood, 5th St N & 11th Ave is very unique. In the middle of many turn of the century bungalows, are four Art Deco buildings reminiscent of South Beach. Truly a hip, urban, & eclectic neighborhood. Close to downtown restaurants and activities.
Crescent Lake Park:
-Dog Park, Tennis Courts, large open field, playground, walking loop.
Downtown St. Pete:
