Stay 8/18-8/24

The property was as advertised. With 3 generations on our stay, the bedrooms on 3 levels were very nice. Kids in the basement, grandparents on the main floor and parents upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, pans and utensils, etc. It is tastefully furnished and has an exceptional combination lock for the front door. It would be nice to have more storage space in the kitchen, especially with the closest grocery approx 1/2 hour away.
All of the staff in the complex was very friendly and helpful. The community swimming pool has an ample deck with plenty of chairs. The lake is very nice with a swimming area, paddle boats, row boat and canoe with life jackets at no charge.
Leave the bicycles at home, unless you are an avid biker. The hills are too much for a casual rider without 24+ speeds on the bike.
Trash collection times were not always convenient, especially when we had to be out of the house by 11 am on Fri and trash collection wasn't until 3:00 pm. However the staff in the office helped out by having a maintenance person take it.
We did not find many hiking trails, but the kids were satisfied with the pool, horseback riding and the lake. Enjoyed visiting the Roebling Bridge and Zane Gray's house.
The deer were plentiful and very friendly. Two 2 black bears were spotted in the area.
