Great Condo, Great Location! Very Comfy!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time staying in Four Seasons II. It was perfect for our family of five. Location was a convenient short walk to lifts. Loved cooking in, hanging out in spacious living area, building great fires in the fireplace, and watching movies, after a long day of skiing. We went into Jackson by bus, bought all our groceries and hit Red Box for a few movies for the week. We loved the back deck and the view of the sleeping Indian from our living room. Beds were very comfortable. We also loved the mudroom. So convenient to keep all ski stuff together. Everyone had their spot. My only complaint is that there was not a great selection of pots and pans. Only one large sauce pan, so when cooking pasta and sauce we had to dump the sauce into a bowl to be able to cook the pasta. Loved everything else about it and will come back.

Amazing stay and location

  • 5 of 5

The location was perfect, and the place was perfect for a group of friends. We had an amazing time- communication was great between us nad the owners of the property- and that mudroom was perfect to drop off all of our gear in. Great views as well. We will absolutely look into staying here next time we're out in Jackson Hole!

Outstanding Rental... Even Better Owner

  • of 5

This is the first time I used VRBO, but I've had friends use it and the experience can be very mixed. My experience, however, was seamless. The condo itself was beautiful and clean and very spacious. All the basic supplies were there, so we only had to shop for food. It's less then a 10 minute walk to the tram station, so that was very convenient to have the option of not waiting for a shuttle. It's literally closer the lifts than 90% of the condos in the area. The mud room layout was very well thought out for placing our snowboards and various equipment around.

What can be as important as the condo itself when dealing through VRBO is the owner itself and Beth was fantastic. She answered every question I had prior to my stay and during. The place itself was in immaculate condition. What really stood out though was when my friend's flight was cancelled due to inclement weather, he was able to negotiate with Beth for a reasonable rate instead of having to drag around his belongings and find a hotel. We couldn't be more grateful.

All in all, we couldn't imagine staying at THE actual Four Seasons Hotel being that much better!

Comfortable and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

The pictures represent the unit very well. A group of five stayed here for a ski week and found it very convenient to Teton Village and the lifts. It's about a 5 minute walk to the tram or you can take the shuttle which picks you up in front of the unit. We enjoyed sitting in front of a fire with a great view of the valley through the living room sliders. The unit was clean and very well equipped with dishwasher/laundry detergents and other incidentals that were nice to have available. Beth was great to deal with and very responsive to any inquiries we had during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was in a great and location was perfect. We could walk to and from the mountain with no problems. It made it convenient to come home and have lunch. Really had a great time.

Location great, condo drab, shabby

  • 3 of 5

Stepping into the condo was a big disappointment. It looked much more attractive, brighter and well-cared-for in the online photos. The color of the walls, the curtains, the carpeting, & limited lighting all made it seem very drab. Also no chairs in the bedrooms, no deck chairs on the deck (just a plastic picnic table/benches), and the biggest maintenance issues were paint pealing off the deck and wooden benches around the deck. Also, the dishwasher installation is problematic; when you open the dishwasher door to load or unload dishes, it scrapes the broiler handle of the stove.

The pluses included that the condo was well equipped (except as noted above) and well cleaned. The location was ideal, as it is an easy walk into Teton Village. Many of the musicians who play in the orchestra stay in condos along Rachel Way because of the convenience. But our friend who has been coming for 25 years to play in the orchestra and has stayed in all the condos along Rachel Way told us he considers the other condos are all more pleasant then the Four Seasons II. So I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative, but would suggest they try to rent one of the other condos along Rachel Way, and only rent this condo if they want to be in Teton Village and others are not available.

Recommendations in Teton Village: Ill Villagio Osteria in the Serra Hotel (not cheap, but great Italian food), the Mangy Moose (all-around, fun, family restaurant), Serra Cafe (quick breakfast or lunch), the General Store (only place we found in Teton Village for smoothies). Bungie jumping was popular with the kids. The concert at Festival Hall was superb -- a Mozart violin concerto and Mahler's 6th symphony.

Recommendations in Jackson: The Bunnery for breakfast, or Persephone's Bakery on E Broadway. Sweetwater Cafe for lunch. And in the park, breakfast or lunch at Doran's, offering a great view of the Tetons before setting off for a hike. On the one rainy day, we explored the Wilderness Animals Art Museum, with things of interest for all ages, including wonderful sculptures of animals both inside the museum and along an outdoor walking trail. The Jackson Rodeo was a bit disappointing -- lots of filler and the final brahma bull rider got hurt, which was upsetting for the children.

Easy hikes for ages 8 - 77 included Jenny Lake ferry and climb to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, Taggart & Bradley Lakes trail (about 5 easy miles), String Lake. All very scenic and varied.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We want all our guests to be happy and strive to make our condo a welcoming place not only for our family but for yours. Based on your comments, we are adding chairs to the bedrooms, deck chairs outside and additional lighting to the common areas. We are also having the deck repainted. The winters in JH do take their toll on the paint outside so we appreciate you raising this to our attention as we have yet to make our summer pilgrimage to our mountain home. The decor is based on mountain style- which we are fond of. Admittedly, people have different aesthetics. We believe the color scheme is serene and reflects the colors and natural beauty of JH. We also love the Four Seasons II building with its beautiful meadow and mountain views and close proximity to the slopes and restaurants. Again, thank you for your comments. We hope you will come back and visit us again.
