Guestbook comments from the manager
We just spent ten nights at Mount Cinnamon and enjoyed every minute of it! We were three generations traveling together and stayed in the three bedroom villa. We were greeted late at night at the airport and whisked away to our villa, where sandwich and fruit plates awaited us in our kitchen. The next morning we woke to the gorgeous views of Grand Anse Beach!
The continental breakfast includes a fresh fruit bowl, freshly squeezed juices, cereal, coffee/tea, toast and spreads. Everything was delicious! You can order eggs, pancakes and french toast a la cart, which we did some days. Kudos to Gail and Petri Ann for their outstanding service in the restaurants!
The resort is surrounded by gorgeous trees, plants and flowers. We viewed the island with the help of Chris's Tours and Taxis and that deserves its own review, so read that too! The villa is beautifully decorated and spacious, with wonderful views of the beach and St. George's. (Just note that the 3 bedroom villa has two baths, as opposed to the three identified on the floor plan on their website.)
The beach is beautiful! The first week our daughter could swim on her own, but during the last few days the waves got too rough and high for her to swim. It all depends on the winds and the weather. We loved our walks along the beach and sailing with Kevin and Cedric, the beach activity coordinators. The roofed cabana is a fantastic amenity, full of games and activities for some sun relief or when an occasional shower passes through. The bathrooms there are clean and orderly. The lunch menu in the cabana is quite large with 6-8 varied options daily. Our favorite was the shrimp kabob! They also have a full bar, popsicles, ice cream and desserts! Try the fruit punch for a quick cool-me-down...not what you get in the US...this is more like fruit smoothie, made with fresh fruits. When the hotel was full, the beach chairs were claimed quickly and more had to be brought down. We had to secure our chairs early in the morning to ensure that we could all sit together.
Savvy's restaurant has a very nice menu and delicious food. We ate there three nights, including Valentine's Day when they offered a special menu and musical entertainment. We were very pleased with Savvy's!
