5 bedrooms, 4 baths, 5,000 sq. ft home with pool, central air, 3 fireplaces

We are fully booked for summer 2013 with the exception of August 24th thru the 31st or longer. Come enjoy the final days of summer at Autumn House. One week minimum.

Off season dates September 2013 thru June, 2014 are available with 2 nt. minimum stay.

Beautiful Autumn House is located at the top of Jamestown's Shoreby Hill which rises above the scenic harbor facing Newport. Marina's, restaurants, shopping within walking distance.

The property offers three fireplaces, central air, in-ground pool, a sixty foot front porch, dining terraces, spacious rooms, a unique pub room, movie library and beautifully landscaped grounds.

There is both formal and informal dining rooms, a chefs kitchen with Wolfe six burner stove, Italian tile counter tops.

The first level includes the pub, formal dining room, center hall/library with wood burning fireplace, living room with fireplace and flat screen tv, full bath, kitchen, butler's pantry, small tv room/den with fireplace, and informal dining/breakfast room.

The second floor is comprised of five very spacious bedrooms to include three queen sized beds, 4 twins and two rollaway beds for extra guests.

Enjoy historic Newport which is a short ten minute drive or ride the seasonal ferry over to Newport across Narragansett Bay.

Explore the islands scenic Beavertail State Park and lighthouse, bird sanctuary, windmills, history, farms and more.

Autumn House is a fabulous home for family gatherings due to it's wonderfully spacious floorplan, proximity to the village and Newport, pool, wicker furnished front porch, Lynx grill, pool loggia and outdoor dining options on the terrace or patio.

Autumn House has been rented for twelve years every summer to families who want to enjoy being close to the village and marina.

One week minimum rental during July & August. Two night minimum off season.

About Howard Zwick

Former radio and television executive in Los Angeles and San Francisco, I started my own media buying and promotions firm in San Francisco in 1975.

I have lived in Sonoma County's wine country, Connecticut, Florida, England and settled on the beautiful island of Jamestown in 1995 with my family.

Having built several homes, I've enjoyed completely updating our lovely Jamestown house to include all new systems, a 60 foot front porch, the pub, pool and a private office separate from the main house where I continue with consulting work for primarily travel accounts.

The unique benefits of Autumn House are that there are very few homes within the village that offer central air conditioning, a swimming pool, three fireplaces, a sixty foot wicker furnished front porch, corner location and such beautiful grounds.

With five bedrooms, the house accommodates ten plus two rollaway beds for extra guests.

You will enjoy being able to walk down the hill to the harbor, restaurants, shops and seasonal ferry to Newport without having to drive into town.

Six of us spent the weekend at this beautiful home in Jamestown. The house is amazing - there was plenty of room for all of us! It's large and extremely comfortable....I don't think we sat in the same room twice! Our two favorite spots were the pool in the backyard (so quiet and relaxing) and the front porch. Howard was terrific - he met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. Both he and his wife sent an extensive email prior to our arrival with great suggestions for restaurants and activities. I could not recommend this property enough - we will be back for sure! What a lovely relaxing home! We were impressed with the cleanliness and amenities. It was close to everything we needed to attend for out son's wedding in Newport and was a perfect retreat from the busyness of the weekend festivities. The beds were so comfortable! Morning breakfast out in the patio area was wonderful. We plan to return again and I would highly recommend this to anyone!
