The island of Patmos is a great place to get away from it all – the most stressful part of your day will be deciding which of the Greek island’s many beaches to visit next. This villa is right in the middle of the island’s most authentic town, Chora, which still maintains a traditional Greek feel even while catering to the needs of tourists. As you and your guests walk its narrow, car-free streets, you’ll be transported to a time when life moved more slowly and the world was more worry-free. There’s still plenty to do, of course – whether hiking, visiting UNESCO-designated historic sites, or fixing a dinner with your family or group of friends to enjoy on the patio.
There is a patio on the ground floor that is furnished with a large marble table, couches, chairs, and loungers for enjoying the sun and the views of the sea.

This villa is located in Chora, the capital and largest town of Patmos, a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea. Guests can walk through the town’s narrow, pedestrian-only streets to Chora’s restaurants, tavernas, food shops, and cafes. Cars can be parked outside the town, which is about a 5 minute walk from the villa. The town is most famous for the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Monastery of Saint John, an imposing fortified structure that dominates the skyline, and, just outside the town, the Cave of the Apocalypse, where John is said to have had the vision that he recorded in the Bible’s book of Revelation. The town also has a folklore museum housed in the 16th century Simantiri Mansion. The island has plenty of pleasant beaches to visit, just a few kilometers from Chora. The cove of Sapsila has tavernas serving fresh fish at its beach, while the sandy beach at the fishing village of Grikos has crystal clear waters, opportunities for water sports and boat rides, and the Petra Hotel and Suites, which gives guests of this villa complimentary access to its pool. The adventurous can take a boat ride to the nearly-uninhabited islands of Arki and Marathi, where there are a few tavernas and even fewer people – perfect for exploring or just lounging by the sea.
