Great/ rare architectural design with big lumbers used from old lumber mill in northern California.
Great Back yard view, 0.6 ac ground with deer walking around but so close to village and river is perfect place to relax.

1.5 level has 2 bedroom, 1 bath and separate living room.
This was the perfect rental home for our family reunion. Close enough for local family to come and go. A beautiful spot to get together. For those of us from afar a great place to stay for three nights. The house and property was nicer than I imagined and it was described quite accurately. Indoors was spacious and well maintained and the back yard was nicely landscaped and furnished so there were several different areas for a small group to gather and visit. We ranged in age from 3 to 83 and it was fun and comfortable for everyone.
The manager was responsive and pleasant, welcoming us and explaining the property details. I would recommend this property to anyone and would certainly stay here again.
What a welcoming home for our family from Oklahoma. Out for a family wedding, the house easily provided room for 10 of us. In the evening deer would stroll through the spacious back yard and we'd wake up to wild turkey's rummaging through the flowers. The house was clean, appliances were wonderful, and the game room adds a relaxing touch. And don't forget the baby grand piano (how many vacation homes offer that?) The owners were gracious and professional. Easily a 5 star experience.
This home was beautiful and a perfect gathering place for a girls' weekend away. We enjoyed the house and backyard, as well as its close proximity to the river. Scott, the property manager, was very helpful and responsive. We were a bit disappointed that the advertised hot tub was not available for use and also by the lack of cookware available in the kitchen, as mentioned by other reviewers. However, we truly enjoyed our stay overall.
We have stayed in VRBO's all over the world. This house is big and beautiful(the master bath is gorgeous). BUT it needs a good deep cleaning, oven is dirty, cobwebs, carpets smelled (from the vacuum I think)etc. Kitchen is large but very bare bones, no measuring cups, one skillet, etc. Also has a garbage smell that appears to be coming from garbage cans that haven't been cleaned. Not set up for making basic meals. Many things don't work, it's minimally maintained. For the price I would expect way more. The backyard is gorgeous. BUT the yard is so overgrown, you can't even use the front stairs. The fountain is not in operation (or the hottub pictured but not advertised). The first picture has furniture that is not in the house (the second pic is more accurate but not exactly) and the laundry room has top loading machines not the ones pictured. The piano looks cool but out of tune and the pool table was nice but the rails dead so almost unusable. The house and yard look great in pictures but not so much in person. Scott is very nice but we won't be back.
Pictures and listing very accurate. The kitchen cabinets need detailed cleaning inside and out. There was only 1 dish towel. I found 2 others in laundry room dirty. Scott was great in providing service. Their was 7 of us, we would all recommend property to friends and family. Location for walking to town and river were wonderful.
We came here as a group of 10 to attend a conference in Sacramento. The size and number of bathrooms was perfect for that many people. The yard was wonderful for the one day we were around the house. Low on "the basics" like kitchen towels, extra toilet paper and paper towels, even sheets or blankets for the sofa couches in the spare living room when they knew we were needing the extra sleeping space. The manager was responsive when we asked for more stuff... just didn't think we should have needed to ask. Worth it - but make sure you're clear about what you need and expect going in so you don't have to call Scott during your stay.
State capital tour, walk to American river over the bridge, 30 minute walk to great Starbucks patio. close enough to ski in Tahoe, Salmon hatching operation, Wine county in 30 minute, walking distance to small village with farmer's market year around..
Family of deer visit on ground.
