About The Owner

Mark and Ashley are a husband and wife team that have one foot planted firmly in Chicago. As a former Chicago resident for 10 years, Ashley has both friends and family in Chicago. We have twins who love to visit their home in Chicago! They both know that Dad's favorite building is the Hancock.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008
Why The Owner chose Chicago

There is only one Gold Coast in Chicago and this historical building is in the heart of it. Our endeavor started out with simply wanting a place to stay when we would visit and eventually use in retirement. We love Chicago and all the City has to offer...from great food, to world class shopping, to museums, architecture, sports, beaches...you name it and Chicago has it all.

What makes this apartment unique

The location cannot be beat. Chicago's epicenter for nightlife is at the end of the block with fabulous restaurants like Gibson's, Tavern On Rush, Morton's, etc. coming together in a perfect triangular parklike setting. If you want to feel like a true Chicago resident in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Chicago, this is the place. The tree-lined street is a perfect prelude to your arrival at this historical building. Shopping on Michigan Avenue is just a block away as well. It's an AMAZING location!

The location of this apt could not have been better. Shopping and wonderful restaurants within minutes. The kitchen needs a little attention with regards to drinking glasses and organization. This can be easily addressed. I will use this apt again the next time we are in Chicago! Highly recommend.

FANTASTIC CHICAGO GETAWAY!!

We stayed in this lovely Brownstone for a three night girls weekend in Chicago. There were six of us and with the 2 king beds, 2 sofa beds and 2 Frontgate inflatable beds, the accommodations were perfect. The location was perfect for shopping, dining and just getting around in general. Catching a cab was easy too as all we had to do was walk a short 1/2 block to either LSD or State Street. The condo's are beautifully appointed and furnished and had everything we needed. It is so much nicer to stay in a condo where we could bring in our own food and cook at home when we wanted to. Cedar Street is a lovely quiet street on the beautiful Gold Coast of Chicago. We couldn't have asked for more perfect accommodations for our girls getaway weekend! Thanks so much, Cherie

Perfect Spot

Stayed here for 4 short days end of September 2010. This has the location, location, location, a few short blocks to the mag mile. We didn't take a cab anywhere, and always had this little safe haven to return to, and view our purchases, or sleep off some pizza, etc.. Everything the listing describes is correct is, including the photos, the location, etc. I would recommend this vrbo to anyone, have, and and will.

Incredible Location

This brownstone is a fantastic place to kick back and relax when visiting the 'windy' city. It was just the way described and the photos are exactly what to expect. My husband and I were there for a 3 day holiday and we just loved it. You would never know you are only a stones throw away from the best shopping of the city. The street is so quiet and quaint! There is a huge variety of restaurants in the neighbourhood and the beach is at the end of the street. The unit is fantastic and fully outfitted. It was like our home away from home. Mark and Ashley were really great answering all sorts of questions and were sure to let us know if there was anything we needed to let them know. They provided great recommendations on places to eat and helped us out in how to get to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. I will definately stay at the brownstone again next time in Chicago!

Our experience with this property and the staff of First Class Chicago was truely great. This property is very secure, clean, safe, and everything we expected and more. The location cannot be beat. This Gold Coast location was a spring break destination for our family. My wife and I wanted to show our two boys around one of the greatest cities in the world and we were not disappointed. Being so close to Rush Street with off street parking a half a block away and Oak Street beach one block away,was absolutely wonderful. We didn't want to leave! The staff know how to communicate and were very professional and accomidating the whole way. Do yourself a favor and stop looking, this is a great property!
