Many questions are asked and much goes into consideration when trying to choose a house for rent in France. Is there a private swimming pool? Are there interesting activities nearby to keep us busy? Is the family going to have enough space? The answers are yes, yes, and yes at this house in the Loire Valley! Just outside of Sully-sur-Loire, you'll be sure to have a joyous time experiencing la vie française in this French accommodation.
(4,000 m2) The house is situated in a quiet garden of trees, flowers, and a landscaped lawn. The garden is furnished with a table, chairs, and barbecue and there is a private, heated swimming pool (10m x 5m) surrounded by sun loungers. Parking is available within the property grounds.
(230 m2) Ground Floor: There is a combined living and dining room with a couch, armchairs, open fireplace, a table with chairs, and access to the terrace. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There is one bedroom with a 150 cm queen-sized bed and one bathroom with a sink, toilet, shower, and tub. First Floor: There are three bedrooms on this floor. The first and second bedrooms each have two 80 cm narrow single beds (which can be connected to form queen-size beds) and the third bedroom has a king-sized bed (180 cm). The first bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower and the second bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.
Please Note: Two single beds can be connected to form one queen-size bed upon request. If used as single beds, they are most comfortable for children, since they are narrow. A car is essential.
Eight kilometers from Sully-sur-Loire, the house is about a 10 minute drive away from shops, restaurants, and those fabulous French bakeries! Of course there are always grocery stores, but the outdoor market takes place every Monday all year round. The main attraction in town is the 14th century Chateau de Sully-sur-Loire, a truly authentic castle from the lookout peaks right down to the surrounding moat. The castle, which once sheltered renowned writer Voltaire during his exile, is now considered an historical monument by the French Ministry of Culture. Les Heures Médiévales (the medieval hours) are held at the chateau the third weekend in May where the people celebrate the different centuries while reenacting different events, the International Music Festival is held there each June, and the Salon des Gourmets is held in town each October. This last event is a fun event showcasing the different food, drinks, and other products of the region. Orleans: 53 km Sully-sur-Loire: 8 km
