San Miniato is the nearest town to the property and it is located seven kilometers away. Halfway between Pisa and Florence, this medieval town in the Arno Valley is situated on a hilltop and features an ancient cathedral with both Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Next to the cathedral is the Diocesan Museums, definitely worth a visit for its original Fra' Filippo Lippi paintings. San Miniato is also known for being one of the biggest truffle producers in Europe and to honor this, the National White Truffle Market is held in town during the last three weeks of November where guests can eat, drink, and experience the local cuisine. There are shops, markets, and restaurants in town as well. San Gimignano is a great place to go for a day trip. As one of the most visited towns in Tuscany, it is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology.
