With flowering fields, vineyards and hilltop villages nearby, this tastefully renovated farmhouse rental in Provence is a great choice for friends and family. There are seventeen acres of umbrella pine, cypress, olive trees and vineyards to explore and a private swimming pool. Sightseeing and outdoor activities abound from this Provencal holiday rental, from the nearby village of Lourmarin to Gordes, to Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Marseille.

An elegant iron gate opens to a private country road lined with trees and hedges. At the end of this road, the farmhouse peeks out from the greenery. There are three wonderful outdoor terraces for al fresco dining. Two of these terraces are shaded from strong sunlight and have a view of the landscaped park. There is a lovely diamond shaped pool (6m x 2m) with a diving board, pool seating and umbrellas. This vacation home has plenty of parking.

(293 m2) Ground Floor: Make yourself comfortable in the farmhouse living room. There is a couch and several cushioned chairs for relaxing in front of the fireplace and TV. Down the hallway is a bathroom with a sink and WC, a laundry room and an independent sink. Off of the living room is a study and kitchen. The cute farmhouse kitchen features an oven, gas cook-top stove, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and microwave. A private bedroom on this floor opens out to the garden areas. This bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm: more comfortable for one; cozy for two!) and an en suite bathroom with a sink, WC and shower. First Floor: Twelve stone stairs from the entrance hall lead up to five additional bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm). The second bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm). The third bedroom has a single bed (90 cm) with an en suite sink. These three bedrooms share a bathroom with a sink, bidet, separate WC, and bathtub with hand-held shower head. At the end of the corridor are the fourth and fifth bedrooms. The fourth bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm). The fifth bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm: more comfortable for one; cozy for two!). There is a bathroom with a sink, WC and shower.

This private farmhouse for rent in Provence is located at the foot of the Luberon mountains and the edge of the quaint village of Lourmarin. From the house, one can see the 16th century castle of Lourmarin, originally a part of the farmhouse property. The village of Lourmarin is the home of Albert Camus, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is buried in the cemetery. This is a village filled with cafe terraces, restaurants, and boutiques. Dine at Le Moulin or La Feniere for a real gastronomique experience. You can wander narrow streets and relax in shaded squares, the perfect picture of Provence. Lourmarin has a Friday morning market. The nearby village of Vaugines, (For the uninitiated, this is Peter Mayle country!), is a tiny, old, and isolated village that has preserved its Provencal style. The surrounding countryside is wild and authentic. Sights include a 12th century church and Renaissance style houses. The area is also wonderful for hiking. Another nearby attraction is Gordes, one of the most popular villages in Provence, with a wonderful castle, arcaded streets, museums, and musical concerts. South of the village you can visit the Village des Bories, a curious collection of Neolithic stone huts. Don't miss the Abbey of Senanque, a 12th century monastery where monks still live. Market day in Gordes is Tuesday morning. You can also take day trips to Aix-en-Provence, Avignon or Marseille.   • Security Deposit:
    A security deposit authorization form will be included in your voucher packet. If you wish to use a credit card for the security deposit, the form must be submitted to the property manger prior to your arrival. Otherwise you will need to bring traveler's checks in the amount of the security deposit and give to the keyholder on arrival. The deposit will be used to cover any damage to the property and any telephone charges or other expenses incurred during your stay. The listed security deposit is: 2500 EUR.
  • Additional Expenses:
    Telephone (If Available): According to consumption. Arrival Fee (between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm) Payable upon Arrival: 30 EUR. Arrival Fee (between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm) Payable upon Arrival: 60 EUR. Cook Services (If Available): must be arranged at least 2 months prior to arrival.
