I chose this area because it simply has it all. This sandy beach is terrific in every sense. It's active without being too crowded. At low tide you can shell or walk to distant islands. At high tide the swimming and other activities are great. The house is located on a quiet, dead end street which makes it a great location for children. It's perfectly situated making access to Hartford, New York, and Boston very easy. There are enough activities available in Westbrook and neighboring town to keep you busy for the entire summer.
If you like sparse and rustic beach cottages, this house is not for you. This house was built new in 2002 with my retirement in mind. It has just about every amenity that you would ever need.
Dead end street, just steps from West Beach, Less than 25 miles to casinos, New Haven, Mystic Seaport, Aquarium, and other shoreline beach areas, In-town easy train access to and from New York/Boston, Miles of walking along beach front and Pilots point marina, mooring in West Beach area for small boat (visible from house),
