Perfect Anniversary Trip!

What a refreshing get a way from everything! This property was everything we hoped it would be and more. My husband and I decided to take a vacation for our seven year anniversary, and we really wanted something cozy and beautiful. That is definitely what we got.
The location was just what we wanted. It's close enough to Santa Fe, about a 10-15 minute drive, but far enough away that we had beautiful views, and most importantly, it was quiet and relaxing. The property was immaculately clean and adorably decorated. I loved all of the details of the tiles, pillows, and even the dishes. You can really tell that a lot of thought and care went into making this a great place to stay.
I thought from the photos that this rental might be part of an apartment complex, but it isn't. It may look like a large complex from outside, but the entire property belongs to the owners, and the listing is an attached mother-in-law unit, facing the mountains. The setup is wonderful. I was worried we were renting a condo out of a complex and we might have to worry about disturbing permanent-resident neighbors, but that isn't the case.
The heater here is wonderful, because it heats the floors! The fireplace is relaxing, as well as the two person therapeutic tub. They have a tv and movies, but to be honest, we didn't turn it on once. We did get plenty of use out of the surround sound system, and the free WiFi allowed us to stream whatever internet radio we wanted using our smart phones and an audio cable (self-provided). We loved cooking with all of the up-to-date and modern fixtures in the kitchen. This property is "green" so you can push a button if you want to use hot water instead of running cold water and waiting for it to get hot, I thought it was so awesome. One of my favorite things about this property was the windows, they were so cool the way they opened on a turning hinge.
The owner of the property also owns a couple of bed and breakfasts in the town of Santa Fe, so it is very convenient. They allow you to park there in the city for free, as well as use their amenities, and drink their coffee and tea! They told us great places to go while we were in town, as well as great places to visit for hiking near by. Basically, we got all the amenities of staying at a B&B, along with the privacy and atmosphere of a private vacation rental.
I would stay at this or any of their properties again, we absolutely loved every minute of it.
