A Vision of Nueva Gorgona in Panama
Our brand new apartment, “Nuevo Gorgona Bahia Playa Serena” is situated exactly one minute from the beach, i.e. the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by a seeming mini world of its own.
Nueva Gorgona is a small town/village in itself, with local streets for strolling, walking, grocery shopping and frequenting some local restaurants, old, enduring and new. Four local grocery stores are within minutes of walking. Gorgeous hills and mountain views surround Nueva Gorgona and beyond!
Coronado is a town situated four miles west of Bahia Playa Serena, accommodating four shopping centers, great restaurants, sporting good stores, tours, ATM/cash withdrawl machines and much more. A newer cinema complex and shopping district is being added this year, quite possibly complete.
Our quaint area, west of Panama City, is host to truly unlimited activities and events for visiting tourists such as (but hardly limited to): Antiquing, antique stores, biking, boating, bird watching, botanical-tropical gardens, churches, cinemas, fishing, (salt water, freshwater) golf courses, horseback riding, jet skiing, mountain climbing, rafting, ruins, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, walking, water tubing, wild life and scenic tours of many descriptions, wind surfing, to say the very least! The opportunities grow and we cannot list all of them, here. Simply taking a scenic drive, heading out in any one direction is pleasure enough in many instances. One simply has to explore!
Playing the local lotto or lottery is fun, for the gambling minded.
From the Nuevo Gorgona area, a 35 minute drive east takes you to the town of Chorrera and the brand new “Westland” mall, recently opened and similar in size and scope to the attractive malls in Panama City, Panama, such as the Metro Mall, Multi Plaza Mall, Multi-Centro Mall and the Albrook mall. Now, even one more splendid, newly added 4 story mall has been built in the Paitilla/Punta Pacifica area in Panama City itself, an incredibly exclusive and beautiful area of Panama.
On safe and practical side of life: It is always a welcome feeling to know that an excellent-new-high quality emergency hospital is open 24/7, directly in Coronado.
Tourists visiting Panama receive free medical care during the initial 30 days of travel. Always have a photo i.d. and/or passport original or copy with you at all times, regardless of where you travel within Panama.
Also, please be aware that local police do stop cars for routine inspections, especially during the evening hours. Have all necessary documentation with you! However beautiful and awe inspiring Panama is, (and it is), laws are enforced for your protection.
