About Alan

My name is Alan and I am a true Austinite. Artist, photographer and of course a musician, (classical violin and guitar) I attended parochial school here in Austin, Then moved on to the School of my Grandfather, and Father. The University of Texas here in Austin Tx.

Alan purchased this house in 1950

Why Alan chose Austin

A family owned property from one of Austins first settling families.

You can't get any closer to the middle of it all. Any and all convention or music. Next to down town. Next to ACL fest. Next to Auditorium Shores. Next to Town Lake(Lady Bird Lake). Next to the Long Center, the Palmer Center, Zilker park, Congress Ave. That is all less than a mile away. Sixth ST, the Capitol, the Convention Center, the Warehouse district, Whole Foods (HQ and store) The list goes on and on, and all just one mile away.

What makes this house unique

The property backs up to the Green belt with hiking trails and a dry (sometimes wet) creek, . Less than a mile and walk-able to an abundance of restaurants all with outdoor patios and some with live music. The famous Saxon Pub is just a mile away with great live music every single night ( Always a good place to spot celebrities ). The world famous Continental Club also a mile away. But wait! There's more. The mother ship of over priced veggies, Whole Foods is only one mile away.

Wonderful Time

  • 5 of 5
This place was so, so much fun. Four of us were in Austin for ACL fest and this house was so close we walked to the fair. There are plenty of restaurants and Whole foods was easy walk just as it was described. The house is beautiful and well worth what we paid for the weekend. ACL fest was a blast too. highly recommend this home.

More than worth the price!

  • 5 of 5
You can not get a single bed hotel room with the same quality as this place for the same price and this house has two bed rooms. On site parking for several cars. laundry. Full kitchen, so we were able to eat in. We walked to Congress ave. Very fun. 6th street was not far either. I am definitely going to stay at this home again and so should you. It is totally what Austin is about in my opinion

A Great House for Enjoying Austin

  • 5 of 5
For a week-long stay this was way better than a hotel room. We were able to enjoy several evening meals by walking to nearby restaurants. Black's Barbecue was great, and we enjoyed a hamburger place called Sandy's. Threadgill's World Headquarters had some great home-style food in an enjoyable atmosphere. We hope to stay again at this house for a future fun trip to Austin.

Out of ordinary

  • 5 of 5
I stayed in this cozy and beautiful house on a recent work trip.

I like Alan’s prompt response to my query and his professionalism.

It was my first visit to Austin and I had no idea of the town. But, owner’s preparation made my stay very comfortable. The house had street maps, outside security cameras, a list of event’s coming up in recent weeks, a list of things to do in Austin, washing machine, dryer, fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine and Wifi to connect my laptop to. The owner went the extra mile by showing me around the town.

The most compelling thing for me was the location. The house is located very close to Downtown and bus stops for people like me who didn’t wanted to drive in a new country. A short cab ride took me to downtown and other restaurants.

I will be definitely staying in his house again.

Wow

  • 5 of 5
This home was every bit as advertised, but more. We walked almost everywhere that we wanted to see while in Austin. The home itself was wonderful, with everything you would expect in your own home. Very clean, WIFI, cable tv with movie channels. A computer with printer and plenty of maps and guides to Austin.
Great rate and location location location

Bouldin Creek, located on the other side of the lake from downtown Austin. The historic nature of the neighborhood and eccentricity of its residents mean it will always be a little bit different. For those who doubt the 'weirdness' of South Austin, look no further.

Our home is on 3/4 of an acre surrounded by live oak trees, with two side wooded areas. The neighbors are a few lots over from the house, they will not be right next to you.the house is also up from the street.
