Welcome to the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We are located 2 miles into the mountains in the Kenmure Golf community. The cottage is very private, with mountain views.
Airports: We are conveniently located 20 minutes from Asheville airport (AVL) and 40 minutes from Greenville/Spartanburg airport (GSP).
Restaurants, Shopping and Nightlife:
-- We are 5 minutes from downtown historic Hendersonville where the street features planter boxes brimming with seasonal flowers and trees, thriving businesses such as specialty shops, antique stores and wonderful restaurants, bars and live music. -- -- Asheville is only a 20 minute drive and provides a place to spend the day. This town has an unmistakable mountain vibe and is well-known for it's culinary, a burgeoning beer scene and thriving artistic community. Asheville has a vibrant nightlife scene, ranging from wine bars to friendly, neighborhood brewpubs to sidewalk cafes and coffee shops. Downtown Asheville is especially funky and fascinating after dark, with street musicians and the popular long-running local bands.
Forests:
-- Just a 15 minute drive to beautiful Dupont National Forest which includes waterfalls and 80 miles of roads and trails wandering through mountainous terrain. The forest is open to the public for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding and Fishing.
-- Also 20 minutes away is the Pisgah National Forest which has 500,000 acres stretching across the eastern edge of Western North Carolina's mountains. The Forest offers hiking trails, fishing, camping, picnic sites, and spectacular waterfalls. Some of Pisgah National Forest's attractions include Looking Glass Falls, Sliding Rock, Pisgah Forest State Fish Hatchery, and Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education.
