One of the Best Benefits to Astor is the proximity to St. Johns river. We are on a deep canal seconds from the St. Johns River near the second Largest Lake in Florida, 'Lake George' There are crystal clear springs nearby and the best Bass fishing in the south east!
I have stayed with the Satchers for many special occasions! There Home makes it feel like its your home!! I feel like a part of the family. You will too, Thankyou William for the Friendship and for letting me and my family be a part of your life. Our stay was remarkable and unforgetable. Jim
We have been here several times over the last five years or more. This is the best place for a family vacation. Perfectly nestled in the great outdoor providing many opportunities to enjoy and relax with family and friends. Thank you, Satcher family for sharing with our family.

We enjoyed our month-long stay so much. The down-home setting was everything promised. Fresh orange juice each morning from trees in the front yard, fresh fish from the canal or river, wonderful sightseeing, perfect neighbors, peace and quiet....all was extraordinary and we can't wait to be back next year.
My wife and I found everything neat & clean, with everything needed to sit back and relax. We enjoyed the pontoon boat and was easy to use. The weather was too hot (95+) for good fishing, but we caught enough fish for a fry. An owl came by and I fed it a couple of small perch. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes nature, fishes and/or wants easy access to a good boat, or dock your own for a few days. William is very helpful and knows the area very well.
