Magical Weekend Get Away

  • 5 of 5

The Golden Isles are indeed treasures for Georgia. I have loved SSI my whole life and spent many summers exploring the area. I wanted to bring my own child to the area to take in all that the island offers and needed a great home away from home. I found the Georgia Peach on HomeAway and contacted the owner to discuss the property. After speaking with Bill Fogarty I knew his property would be a perfect location to enjoy a vacation. My group of 4 ladies and baby found that every square inch of this home is spotless. Not a speck of dust or debris was found. The kitchen had everything you could want or need to cook and entertain. Each bathroom was well stocked with soft towels, clean showers and ample storage for your clothes and belongings. The entire home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved drinking coffee in the mornings on the back screened porch and planning our adventures for the day. I will be visiting again in the future and would recommend this home for anyone seeking a home environment for your vacation. We were close enough to enjoy the village, pier and beach. We also dined out a few times and Sal’s Pizza was delightful for everyone. We loved our stay and hope you do too. Kim Candler

We had a small family get together for a long weekend at this house. The house was comfortable and very homey. The kids had a great time feeding the turtles down the street:) Very nice house!

The house was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderfully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, clean and beautifully decorated, and spacious for 6 people. We loved the screened porch and the quiet street and neighborhood. Convenient to a big grocery store and to restaurants and an easy drive to the village shops, eating establishments and beaches.

Best location for access and privacy on the island!

  • 5 of 5

The furnishings of the "Peach" are beyond compare! We have no recommendations for any kind of "upgrading" to the provisions available in the house. It was a perfect place for us to enjoy all of the island entertainment and still avoid the hustle and bustle of vacationers. It had much more room than we needed, but it gave us a chance to entertain friends for a weekend. Living on Holly Street was like having moved our home to a warmer latitude to avoid Michigan snow! We will be extending our stay by at least two more weeks of the Winter next year.
