A GREAT AWAY-FROM-HOME HOME

  • 5 of 5
Lou and Ozzie are great hosts. They know the area, and help their quests find what interests them.
The bunkhouse is a perfect away-from-home home. It is clean, quiet, and out of the city. It is close to some of the many visited areas. A wonderful place to stay.
The next time I travel to Tuscon, I will stay at the bunkhouse again.

QUIET DESERT GETAWAY

  • 4 of 5
This place is in a good location for visiting Saguaro National Park and other parts of Tucson. The Bunkhouse was very comfortable and cute! Lou and Ozzie were there if you needed anything. Very pleasant couple to chat with. The property is very nice and well maintained. There was a grapefruit and orange tree with ripe fruit for our picking. If you are interested in birds, there was a variety right on the property.

THE PERFECT GETAWAY

  • 4 of 5
My two-week stay at The Bunkhouse was the first time I had booked a guest rental online and it could not have worked out better. I wanted to get away from the rat race of Los Angeles. I wanted something quiet and private. And I found everything I was looking for at The Bunkhouse. Lou and Oz (the owners) are generous and accommodating and it was honestly hard to leave when my time was up.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I already miss being able to see a sky full of stars at night. -- Chris

A GREAT VISIT

  • 5 of 5
The Bunkhouse was clean and very inviting. We were there over Christmas and the place was decorated with some lights on the porch and they even had a lovely little decorated tabletop tree inside for us. The place was well equipped and comfortable. Lou and Oz were attentive and helpful. We used this as a base from which we explored the area during the days, mostly returning in the evenings. The kitchen was certainly outfitted well for us to fix meals for ourselves. Besides many hikes in the nearby Saguaro National Park and a lovely day at the Desert Museum, we also visited the Center for Creative Photography on the U of A campus and nearby Fourth Ave shops, the town of Tubac, the San Xavier Mission, and a hike to Seven Falls in Sabino Canyon on the other side of Tucson. We enjoyed our visit immensely and really can't think of anything that was lacking. I would definitely return.

A GREAT RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
We were looking for a quiet rest in the country and a chance to see the Arizona sky from a dark site. We got both and much more. Our hosts were friendly and helpful pointing out some of the great trails in the Saguaro park and even turning off the outside lights when we wanted to see the stars. The "Bunkhouse" was clean and comfortable with a lovely deck to sit out on. This place will stay on our list of locations to return to.
