The sparkling Emerald Creek that runs through the property provides a beautiful place for a splash and a barbecue. There is also a pool table, aircon in all the rooms for the summer heat, a beautiful courtyard to keep an eye on the children, cable TV and internet.

Pets are allowed as long as they are appropriately trained and non-destructive. There are facilities for dogs, cats, horses and arrangements can be made for others.

It is a 5 minute drive to the Mareeba township. In Mareeba itself there is the opportunity to go hot air ballooning, visit the coffee plantations and the various nature spots like Granite Gorge Nature Park.
It is a 15 minute drive to the tropical Kuranda Village with attractions like the Butterfly sanctuary, Bird sanctuary and Venom Zoo. Visit the markets for local souvenirs and go for walks in the surrounding tropical rainforest, where you can spot a variety of tropical wildlife from bush turkeys to the rare cassowary. Take a trip on the scenic Kuranda railway to Cairns city or hop on the skyrail to experience a unique view of the tropical rainforest from above. Other attractions on the way there and towards Cairns include Blazing Saddles where you can horse-ride through the tropics or if that is not your cup of tea, jump on an ATV.
It is 40 minutes drive to Atherton. Visit the crystal caves and see the giant amethyst, visit the large number of lakes including Lake Tinaroo and Lake Eacham, or even stop by at the Hou Wang temple.
It is a 45 minute drive to Cairns city, where you can participate in a variety of activities including bungee jumping, white water rafting, fishing, water sports, para-gliding and horse-riding. For a calmer time, take a walk along the esplanade, admire the boats in the marina, stroll through the shops and stop by the numerous restaurants in the city. There are also numerous bars and nightclub for those who enjoy a bit of night life.
