Non-skiers may like to try ice-skating or sleighing. Spring, summer & autumn are ideal seasons for mountain walking, climbing, cycling, paragliding, tennis. In summer: Via Ferrata, horse riding, canoeing, mountain biking using marked out tracks, potholing, rafting, swimming, aerial adventure routes & quad tracks. Also, Verchaix is the perfect starting point for sightseeing excursions to e.g. Chamonix (Mont Blanc), Annecy, Yvoire, Evian &, in Switzerland to Geneva, Lausanne/Ouchy or Montreaux. Numerous places of interest are within a one hour drive; the chalet's host-owner will be pleased to provide more information.
