Overview

Tarcoles House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 4-8)

Located in a gated community, Casa Celestial is a secluded home perched atop a small mountain peak, allowing for a magnificent 360° view of the ocean and surrounding mountain tops.

This open concept two-level home features 2 Master and 2 Junior suites, all featuring luxurious King & Queen Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds.

Walk out to the infinity pool hanging over the edge of the mountain top to sunbathe, take a swim or enjoy a drink. Take in the beautiful ocean views and the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see anywhere in the world! If you need shade and a little bit of peace and quiet, you can also relax on the covered patio with a gorgeous mountain view.

On the open concept main floor you are surrounded by the beauty of nature. In addition to the modern kitchen, dining room, and living room, there is a Junior Suite (with Queen-size bed) with a full bathroom.

On the second floor you will find a TV room (ocean view), 2 Master Suites (King-size beds, ocean/mountain views) with private en suites and a second Junior Suite (Queen-size bed) with private bathroom.

During your stay you may encounter some of the many species of wildlife Costa Rica has to offer. Iguanas, Sloths, White-Tailed Deer, and Armadillos are just some of the animals that have been seen on or around the property. You will also be treated daily to the sight of a wide variety of birds and butterflies, including Macaws feeding off the Casa's almond tree.

Speaking of which, feel free to indulge in all the fresh fruit available to be picked from the trees right on the property, including - among others - Oranges, Limes, Papaya, Chili Peppers, Bananas, Passionfruit, Mandarins, and Plantains.

However, in the interest of full disclosure, we must note the property's single significant issue...

When you stay at Casa Celestial - you will NEVER want to leave!

Great Family Vacation. Unbelievable Views.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Casa Celestial during Holy Week 2015. We are a family of 5 with girls 5 y.o., 8 y,o., 10 y.o. and met our friends who brought their 5 y.o. son. The Casa is a special place and the views really are that magnificent. We spent our evenings in the pool swimming and watching the sunset and our mornings having breakfast in the Palapa taking in the view. The house is very comfortable, and with the 8 of us there still felt like there was plenty of room to spare. This is a gated community and felt very safe - which is worth mentioning for people who are bringing their families. The drive from the gate is very steep -- if you are renting a car - make sure you get something with enough "guts" to get up the incline. We grilled fresh fish from the local fish co-op in Tarcoles almost daily. There is a great farmer's market in Jaco once a week on Friday. We had private surf lessons with "The Surfing Factory" in Jaco. These guys were great, and I specifically recommend Luis, who was great with the kids. An incredible week , we already started planning our return visit for next year.

Pura vida!!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of casa celestial do not come anywhere close to the beauty that it truly exudes. Having cervezas watching the sunset is the best way to unwind from all of the activities that are close by! the house is architecturally pleasing and the house staff are so much fun! Please do eat ceviche in tarcoles, and please do make new tica friends. Pura vida always.

Wow

What a view, this rental is amazing. if you like warmth and sunshine this beautiful spot is for you

Wild life is all around you, we saw a pair of Harpy Eagles, Coati's, Iguanas and Scarlet Macaw's right in our own yard. The house and facilities are so nice you will not want to go anywhere for a while, but when you do venture out this a great location to get to all the sights.

Four large bedrooms each with individually controlled a/c.

We were two couples with 2 children and there was room to spare.

If back in costa Rica this is where we will be staying.

Weekend Guy's Trip

Beautiful home located on a hill side facing the Pacific with great sun set views during the evening. The Manager, Edgardo, was an excellent host, who provided great service during our stay in Costa Rica. Would highly recommend the place and will probably try to stay there again in the future.

A True Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to Costa Rica. Our first to Casa Celestial, but hope this will be the first of many visits to this spectacular home. We were a group of two families which included 5 children (ages 4-15) This home was perfect for us, with the soft beds, beautifully decorated, and adequately stocked kitchen for the meals we prepared in the home. Edgardo, the manager, was PERFECTION! He went above and beyond to help us. He met us late the evening of arrival and went over the house with us and provided us with recommendations for excursions, local restaurants, grocery stores, and taxis. As it was our third visit to Costa Rica, we felt comfortable renting a van and driving in. We were familiar with this little fishing town as we had stopped here to see the sunset on our last visit. We did rent a GPS at the car rental place and I highly recommend it. It is high atop a mountain, but well worth the drive, even I drove up and down the mountain and didn't have to rely on my husband for this. We did eat at Villa Caletas (the Shrimp and Lobster Rissoto dinner was wonderful) and watched another amazing sunset. We also recommend Tico Style Tours in Tarcoles for a great fishing, snorkeling, white sand beach with fresh caught lobster lunch and nature hike. Having dinner with Gino, the captain and his family gave us a true Typico Costa Rican meal that was outstanding and was a awesome experience and feel we made new friends. We will definitely book excursions with them on our next visit. The infinity pool was perfect and watching the sunsets was breathtaking. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. We used the outdoor sink and grill to grill up some fresh shrimp and burgers. I cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this home. Two of our guys went on a fishing trip and a 15 year old caught a Black Sailfish. A memory of a lifetime. We did drive to Monteverde to Zipline and for those of us not willing to zipline we were able to ride the Skytram. We saw amazing views of Arenal and three other volcanoes. We love Costa Rica and have visited Guanacaste region and Escazu, but Casa Celestial has captured our heart. We hope to one day have our own piece of Heaven in this beautiful country and live "Pura Vida" (The Good Life). Thanks so much Chris for sharing your beautiful home as a rental. And thanks again Egdardo for everything you did to help us! Chris, you really do have a gem of a home and manager for your property. Pura Vida! Highly recommend!

Winter break oasis

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at Casa Celestial on Friday, March1st and left on Saturday, March 9th. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful home. The location of the house is up on the hillside. The back patio and pool overlook the water and we had the most spectacular sunsets each night. The beauty of the colors could not be captured in the pictures we took. However, we have tons of pictures to remind us! The house was very comfortable, the beds and lines well done. We enjoyed listening to the birds and the geeckos each day with their "kissing" sounds. The macaw birds also flew by and we found their nest in the tree at the bottom of the mountain. Edguardo, the overseer of the property was awesome! He was so helpful with our questions and pointed us to various sites and activities. We took advantage of the wonderful seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables and did most of the cooking at home. We enjoyed the patio so much, all of our meals were outside. The kitchen is well equipped with all of the necessary dishes, cooking utensils and such. We found the large supermarket where we could load up on necessities during the week.

We visited the hotel villa caletas for dinner and a view of the sunset. In addition, we took advantage of the spa there. We totally recommend their spa services if you are so inclined. We also did Zip Lining in Jaco. Chris, the owner, set us up with Pedro as the drive. He picked us up at the airport and took us to the house. He had also arranged to have rental car delivered to the house when we arrived and then picked up the day we left. We recommend this mode of transport to and from the airport as the roads are a bit confusing at first.

Excellent way to relax and get away from the cold winters in the Northeast!
