You can't get any closer to the pristine beaches of Treasure Island. Newly renovated with updated furnishings, this condo softly whispers "Relax".
A spacious and private stateroom that gives its guests a totally unobstructed and breathtaking view of the beaches and the amazing Gulf of Mexico sunsets.
Sitting directly on the incredible beaches of Treasure Island, minutes away from shopping, restaurants, activities, and watercraft rentals, you'll enjoy the perfect location for a Florida vacation. The complex offers a beachfront pool, poolside Tiki bar, beach volleyball courts, and on-the-beach grills.
We provide everything you'll need for a quick getaway or an extended stay. With a comfortable Queen size bed, a Queen sleep sofa, dining area and kitchenette, it will easily accommodate four. The private balcony overlooks the pristine white sand beaches and provides a stunning view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Includes linens and towels, beach towels, DVD, a hairdryer, a coffeemaker, a toaster, blender, microwave, cooking utensils, pots & pans, and iron & board.
We are a couple ~30 with a one year old and the place met our needs to stay on the beach at an affordable price. It was pretty basic but had lots of am entities and was clean enough, so we were happy with the unit. It had the basics that we needed with a small kitchen. I felt it was advertised accurately. The view and location were perfect which is the best part! We could walk the beach to a few restaurants/bars. Publix grocery was a quick drive. The booking, check in/check out and parking were easy. I found the booking agency to be very helpful and friendly as well.
The actual complex is older and a bit run down in some ways but the staff was friendly, there was coffee in the lobby, laundry room, ice, kayaks, grills, volleyball, the grounds were clean and up kept.
We didn't love the town itself- older resorts/motels, and mostly all tourists but a little rougher crowd- maybe because there appeared to be no laws against open container drinking?
It didn't bother us because the beach was so perfect and beautiful except I will say this unit is located right above the pool/bar which also had a kind of trashy crowd (some families but lots of middle aged ppl drinking, smoking, swearing, talking loudly at night when we were there). We just avoided the pool but it did make the deck less peaceful a few times, but we just went down to the beach instead.
The beach was PERFECT! The umbrella and chair/ cabana rental on the beach right outside the inn was so convenient. The unit also came with two beach chairs that we used one day. They were a little worn out but did the trick just fine.
Overall we had a really great get away here and I would recommend this if you're looking for a basic place to meet all your needs, with gorgeous views right on the beach, for a reasonable price.
This room on the second floor of the Island Inn has a perfect view of the Gulf. Compared to some hotels on the strip, the walk is far less to the water which makes it nice for a quick swim before dinner. Being on the 2nd floor does make it very convenient for getting around the complex instead of waiting for the elevators.
The in-house Tiki bar, located beside the heated salt water pool, stays open past sunset and I got the impression that as long as they had customers in seats, the ladies were happy to keep serving.
For larger groups, there are a couple of sheltered seated areas adjacent to the Tiki bar that worked well or family bbqs or birthday parties (both of which were observed during our 14 day stay). Also handy and unique to this property was the availability of public washrooms. There was a men's and ladies' room outside the Tiki bar which is far less hassle then scurrying to your room. I believe there was another public washroom in the well kept lobby
The WIFI signal was solid and strong throughout the stay.
We had a couple minor problems but Liz and Charles from Itrip were readily available by email and things were rectified promptly.
We were most excited by the laundry room location. We had read that it was located across from the room but visualized it to be somewhere "down the hall" or "around the corner". Not true - it was right across the hall so it made the lack of daily maid service more manageable.
Note that this hotel is about 3/4 of a mile away from "hub" of Treasure Island. So, a few excellent restaurants like Ricky T's; Middle Ground; VIP are within 25-30 min walking distance or an inexpensive cab ride. John's Pass is walkable as well but it is a good hike and not for the faint of hear in the afternoon sun. Caddy's; Sea Hags and Kai Tiki are a quite a bit closer going in the other direction. Trolley stop is right in front of the hotel - using your smart phone, you are able to find out how long before the next one arrives and you can decide from there.
Lastly, sand, sand, sand - the housekeeping basics are provided for you, but if I go again, I would take several Swiffer pads and attach them to the broom to try to keep ahead of the sand. I have suggested to Liz to consider replacing the bristle broom with a Swiffer for future visitors.
I would easily recommend this property.
Liz made our trip happen at the last minute and Charles followed up even at a late check in to ensure everything was in order. Second time at this unit and still didn't want to leave! Perfect location and impressive accomodations. Just love it here. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night getaway. Located right on the beach with an unobstructed view of the water. The employees were friendly and helpful. Night life and restaurants either within walking distance or short drive, Accommodations were clean, neat and as adver-tised. Beach was large and well main- tained. I would recom- -mend this property.
