Vacation on Budget and on the Beach!
Incredible value in a beachfront studio, this newly renovated, clean and well maintained unit gives you a 4th floor view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful sands of Treasure Island from its private walkout balcony.
Featuring a comfortable king size bed, kitchenette, and private balcony, you'll wake to the sounds of the surf. The condo comes completely stocked with all kitchenware, small appliances, linens, towels, and cookware.
Perfect for a quick and easy getaway, at a fantastic price!
Our first guest send us this email "We had a great vacation @ this location. Room was very presentable on arrival. Bed was comfortable and kitchen facilities and supplies were more than adequate. Best of all was the view of the gorgeous sunsets over the gulf right outside our patio window. Also restaurants and stores were within walking distance. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again."
We were very pleased by this condo. It was just as pictured, and very neat and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great: right on the gulf, near John's Bay shopping and restaurants, and easy to get to. Just what we were looking for.
If you are looking for a nice quiet place on the beach to sit out on your lanai and listen to the ocean while the sun sets this is not the place! The rental is located in "Island Inn" and they do nightly rentals as well as renting out to large groups of people. The "partying" goes on well into the evening without regard for any other guests--also, the bar music is extremely loud and it can be very difficult to even hear the tv in the unit. Calls to the front desk, and the "itrip" reservation number did nothing as did a call to the local police who basically made us feel like we should have known better than to book at this place if we wanted peace and quiet. This building was a hotel that was renovated years ago to be condo-like with everything from studio to multi-bed units and is rented out both as a condo and a hotel like facility. There are gas grills, kayaks and paddle boards--the kayaks and paddle boards are only for the use of the patrons who book directly with Island Inn and not with an individual owner--not sure about the gas grills as we used them anyway. The individually owned units are left up to the owners as to whether they are updated. This particular unit has a "moldy' smell to it when you open the door and is probably coming from the carpet that is in the living area. The bed is king size and is ok, the mattress has definitely seen it's share of guests and could use replacing. The couple of pots and pans in the kitchen area are very cheap and one is rusting--had to get creative to cook with them and the few utensils provided. The chairs for dining are old and worn and need to be replaced before someone falls thru the wicker. There is no housekeeping or towel exchanges during the stay and parking is extremely limited so you will be parking across Gulf Blvd in a lot and crossing the 4 lane street without the benefit of a crosswalk (one is located further up the street). The location is great, right on the beach with great views of the beach and ocean from the lanai and close to the Publix grocery store. If the unit received a little TLC and Island Inn decided to become something more than a party place then this would be a great place to stay! Would not recommend it for a romantic, peaceful getaway! Definitely a budget place and at this price there are better options.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this cute condo. Perfect for a couple just planning on relaxing. Loved the Tiki Bar by the pool. The employees of the complex were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay there next year also.
While it states it only sleeps 2, a few sleeping bags or an air mattress and you can easily fit 5 people. Room was simple, but well furnished. Everything worked. Do keep in mind though their are nicer rooms, this was a privately owned one that I guess the hotel rents out on their behalf. We were apart of a group of about 7-8 families and all the other rooms were much nicer in way of upkeep and decor. Not that our room would keep us from going back, since we really only used it for sleeping. With easy close access to the beach this room is nice for 2-4 people who plan on setting up on the beach each day and going out at night.
This was our first trip to Fla. and the first time we used I-Trips. Our rental was clean and just as pictured. We loved the location; sliding door to balcony overlooking the beach! We had a problem with the sliding door when we arrived, but a call to the number provided had our door fixed in less than a 1/2 hour. The staff was always very courteous and helpful. We ate at several restaurants and liked Beverly's La Croisette and Frog Pond in St Pete Beach for breakfast and Snapper, and 1200 Chophouse for dinner. Enjoyed the Zoo and Aquarium in Tampa
My stay at the Island Inn was just as I expected! My room was more than suitable with a lovely view up and down the beach from the balcony. The beach was as close as could be, and much closer than many other properties up the beach. Having beach chairs and beach towels was just great! And when I wasn't on the beach the view from my balcony offered great views of the beach and sunsets.
The pool area was nice, although I did not swim in the pool, as the ocean was warm enough to swim in. There is a nice little Tiki bar at the pool; the bartender is very friendly and it was a nice place to chat with other guests. There are several gas grills for guests use, as well as kayaks, volley ball, and on-site laundry, etc.
I was within walking distance of the Publix supermarket and Walgreens, as well as several restaurants and bars. There is also a "free" taxi - tips only- and a trolley along the beach. I didn't need a car.
Island Inn guests ranged from singles, like me, to couple, young and older, families and extended families. It was a great mix of friendly people enjoying the great location and amenities.
The Inn is older, however well maintained, updates could certainly be made, but the place is clean and well managed. The booking agent was great, as well. Easy to contact, helpful and attentive. And the price was very reasonable.
