Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3-4)

Sophisticated townhouse in historic Parkfairfax. Light and bright end unit with recently refinished wood floors, fully equipted gourmet kitchen, granite counter tops and new appliances. French doors lead to the private patio with table and chairs and gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware, and equipment.

The master bedroom has great storage space custom built-in cabinets, a walk -in closet and king size bed. The second bedroom has a trundle bed, which when opened will provide two twin beds or a king size bed.

For laundry, there is a full size stacked washer and dryer and is outside of the master bedroom. The bath is in excellent condition, has a new floor and is nicely appointed. Included in this rental are quality sheets and new towels.

Parkfairfax is an historic community, built in 1940, and was home to presidents Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon, as well as Dean Rusk and a number of congressmen. The development is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. There are 3 swimming pools, 8 tennis courts, walking paths in the woods and sidewalks.

One bonus for this house is the ease of commuting into Washington DC. The metro bus stop just outside the door offering a ride of about 7 minutes to the Pentagon Metro. There is also a city bus to take you to Old Town Alexandria, which is about a 10 minute ride. Interstate I-395 is also nearby for those who wish to travel by car.

Sherlington Village is an easy stroll with many good restaurants, a cinema, theater, shops, grocery and library. In the summer, there are sidewalk cafes providing a festive atmosphere.

The perfect location. When looking for a place, we look for location, price, helpful owners, and a clean nice residence. This is a perfect location for all the above. After staying there for 5 weeks, I wish we could have stayed longer. The owner is very attentive and helpful. The residence is safe, clean, and well stocked. Definitely putting this at the top of our list when we come back
