Our 4-star standard, fully equipped 2 bedroom apartments are spacious, very clean and ultra comfortable. The unit boasts two separate bedrooms: one with a Queen Bed and the other with either a queen sized bed or two single beds, FREE Foxtel (Cable) TV with 10 channels (including 3 x Movie Channels and 3 x Foxsports Channels with Cricket and other sports) plus all the free to air digital channels, a CD/ DVD player with a Micro Sound system and temperature controlled air-conditioning.
Wireless Internet access is available in all apartments FREE of charge. Two bathrooms are on site (one for each bedroom). We provide fresh towels and rubbish removal daily (unlike most other self-contained apartment complexes which either don't provide this service or charge extra for it) and a mid-week service (full linen change and make beds, vacuum and mop) for guests staying longer than 7 nights. The apartments are fitted with a washer/dryer combination and there is also a guest laundry on site for guest use.
Unlike some hotel/motels complexes, we are not pretentious enough to think that you are coming to Cairns just to stay at your rental. We are very mindful that you are coming to Cairns to have a holiday and experience all that the Cairns region has to offer. At Grosvenor in Cairns we believe that it is our primary role to provide you with spacious, comfortable, well appointed and above all clean accommodation that you can use as a base for your holiday adventure, all at a reasonable price. In addition, our role is to be as flexible with things like check in / check out times as is possible and to do everything we can to provide you with the facilities and information to make the most of your experience whilst in Cairns.
One of the facilities of our complex which you will love is the Solar Heated Pool with its own water feature and spa. The pool area also has a free BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture as well as shower and toilet facilities.
We provide underground parking (up to 2.1 height) for our guests who have a motor vehicle and we have security access to the building after 7.00 pm. Parking is also available on-site for vehicles with a height greater than 2.1 meters.
We have a full Tour desk with information on all day tours available in Cairns and our experienced local staff can give you free advice on what the various tours offer and can also make any bookings you require at 'no cost to you'. We have put together a number of tours packages comprising the tours which, from experience, are the types of tours most guests wish to undertake, however the needs of every guest differs and if you provide us with more detail regarding the types of tours you would like to do we will put together an individual tour package that meets just your needs.
There are tours that involve white water rafting, hot air ballooning, horse riding, bungy jumping, 4 wheel drive coach tours to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation area, Reef tours that include an introductory scuba dive, helicopter or light plane scenic flights or the slower paced tours thorough the tablelands taking in various waterfalls and rainforest attractions.
Please note - We do not charge any booking fee or admin charge for booking your tours. The tour cost is the same as charged by the tour operator. Depending on which tour you wish to undertake we may be able to organise additional tour price reductions by booking 2nd or 3rd tours with the same tour operator which generally provides a 5% to 10% price reduction on the second or 3rd tours.

The Grosvenor is managed by Brian and Anne Sweetman; husband and wife on-site managers. Brian and Anne moved to Cairns in 2008 to try something 'different' somewhere where it was a bit warmer than Melbourne.
Brian Sweetman purchased this apartment in 2008
After looking at many apartment complexes in and around the Cairns area we decided on the Grosvenor due to it's good location (not in the middle of the CBD but not too far out either) and the size and quality of the self contained apartment accommodation available to guests.

Check in staff couldn't have been better. Clean, comfortable and well decked out apartments. Location could be a little more central but still close enough to town. THANKYOU so much to the staff, they have made our anniversary great :)

Tour, Activities and Things to do
Cairns is the gateway to the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest which are both 'must do' tours for many visitors. However, there are many other tours and activities available throughout the area, including White Water Rafting, Horse Riding, Parachuting, Bungi Jumping, tours of the beautiful waterfalls circuit and Paronella Park and of course the famous tour to the Kuranda - 'the village in the rainforest' via the scenic train and SkyRail. All tour operators pick up and drop off at the front door and all tours can be booked via the tour desk at Reception at no extra cost. Let the staff at the Grosvenor help you to select just the right tour/s.
The majestic coral structures that make up the Great Barrier Reef extend over 1,500 kilometres, and are home to the greatest variety of flora and fauna species found in any one location in the world. The scope of the reef is magnificent, encompassing some 21,900 individual reefs and an area of 348,000 square kilometres larger than the combined total area of Ireland and the United Kingdom! The Great Barrier Reef, now a national marine park, provides superb recreational activities such as snorkelling, diving, swimming, semi-submersibles, coral viewing and fishing, and offers a unique environment for scientific research.
The rainforests of the Wet Tropics, a 'living museum' of flora and fauna, were placed on the World Heritage List in 1988 and cover an area of nearly 900,000 hectares of rainforest and tropical vegetation. Here, pockets of primitive plants have remained undisturbed for millions of years, and rare, even previously unidentified species of birds, insects and mammals have emerged to delight biologists and nature lovers.
The warmth of the tropical climate has fostered a vigorous outdoor lifestyle, reflected in the architectural styles of open verandahs and balconies and extending to the most traditional of Australian cuisine - the barbecue. Dining is a high point of any holiday, and the cosmopolitan local restaurants, cafes and eateries offer an eclectic fare of Australian and international cuisine, the highlight of most menus featuring the region's mouth-watering fresh seafoods and unusual tropical fruits.
