2,000 square feet (186 sq. mtrs.) in authentic Pueblo Revival style of thick adobe walls and casement windows. Robust and old-fashioned ranch and country style furniture. Lots of wood and leather. Private entry patio featuring a deep portal, wisteria-laden pergolas, BBQ, and seating/dining areas. Fenced. Private parking bays.

Top level: Large master bedroom, fireplace, TV, closets, full bath w/WC, and outdoor terrace.

We are an active mature and sophisticated couple who have traveled widely in the world's mountain regions and interesting cities. We've been in Santa Fe more than forty years. It's a fine place and we love it.

David & Bettina purchased this house in 1993

It was our family's second residence for many years, used by friends and our children who now have places of their own. We live on the adjacent hillside property and don't want to see that wonderful house unoccupied.

GREAT VIEWS, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL OWNERS

We stayed in this remarkable home for 6 weeks and loved every minute! We enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunrise from the upper balcony and the large living room window opens onto a beautiful view of the Sangre de Cristos. It is situated in the perfect location for exploring Canyon Road and is walking distance to many of the Dale Ball trails.

This wonderful classic adobe features an enclosed courtyard with a BBQ, dining table and sitting area perfect for enjoying Santa Fe's warm summer evenings. Overlooking this patio is a charming wisteria covered arbor which we were lucky to see come into bloom.

The house description notes a "galley style pocket kitchen" which sounds small but between the BBQ and the kitchen we were easily able to create lovely meals and even entertain 6 people.

The mid-level room was an ideal office space complete with writing /computer desk and printer...affording privacy and it's own great views. We enjoyed meeting the owners and any question that arose was handled immediately. We were sad to leave and look forward to returning.

WONDERFUL PLACE, WONDERFUL LANDLORDS

My visit was 10 weeks long and my only regret is that it was not longer. I loved both the house and the landlords. It is an older and interestingly quirky property but very clean and well-maintained . When something did go wrong the landlords were quick (often a matter of minutes) to help. They live on the same property and manage to be available but not the least intrusive. I found the house to be exactly as described and pictured, well-supplied with the things I needed, and charmingly decorated with paintings, antiques, and other unique touches.

The location was perfect. It was easy to get to downtown (bus, car, or a long walk) but out of town enough that I had the quiet and views that I wanted. One can access excellent walking trails accessible just by stepping out the door. Santa Fe's charms are justifiably famous and when not working, I (and visiting family) found much to enjoy. We took in museums, pueblos, petroglyph walks, concerts, and much more.

I would happily recommend this house to friends or relatives. I think my only caution is that it is not at all handicapped accessible. The three main rooms are on different levels and even the front gate requires mounting stairs. It suited me (aged 66 and wanting quiet and space to write) perfectly but might not be right for someone with physical challenges.
