My Little French House was constructed in the 1400's, situated at 15 Rue De L'Union which is off 'Place Des Arcades' ( The Town Square).

She has recently been lovingly renovated while enhancing her original features. Offering 3 levels with light and airy rooms, wooden floorboards, beautiful wall featured stairwell, two fireplaces, modern kitchen, two living areas both with a Sofa Bed, 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, heating and cellar.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Sleeps 6 People

- Two, Double Size Bedrooms (Both Bedrooms have a Double Bed) - Third Floor

- Downstairs Living Area with Double Sofa Bed - 1st Floor

House Facilities:

Kitchen: Fully equip kitchen including fridge, microwave, gas and electric oven and hot plates, peculator coffee machine, cooking pots and pans, plates, cutlery and glasses.

Living Room: DVD player, Television and CD Player

( DVD movies and Books from private collection are available for you to use during your stay)

Laundry: Washing Machine, Clothes Dryer, Clothes airer, Iron and Ironing board.

Bathroom: Hair-dryer

Towels and Bed Linen are provided.

Internet: Wifi (wireless) and cable Internet connection is also available for a fee of $20 AUD per week. Please note you need your own laptop computer.

Parking: Street Parking outside house, or in most streets. There is also 3 other free parking areas within Monflanquin Village - All are within walking distance.

The village is steeped in history surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Chateaux and Castles, Vineyards of South West and offering many leisure activities, Swimming Lakes and Shared pool, Golf, Horseriding, Kayaking/Canoeing on the Dordogne and Lot Rivers, all within easy access to the main airports and train stations, Toulouse, Bordeaux and smaller airports and train stations only 35 mins away - Bergerac and Agen.

'My Little French House' is the perfect location to base yourself for day trips. Take advantage of the surrounding areas and explore, Dordogne (30 mins away), The Lot (30 mins away) and some of my personal favourite St Emilion, Saint Cirq lapopie, Sarlat, Beynac -et Cazenac and Monpazier, just to name a few.

You can travel a little further and visit the beautiful beaches of Biarritz and Vineyards of Bordeaux

Comfort in the heart of a pretty bastide town

We had a fantastic stay in this Little French House where we could walk around the corner to a selection of restaurants,down the hill to the patisserie where you can watch the baguettes being made,sooooooooooFrench..and to add to the ease with which we stayed in this village, most people were willing to speak some English....But the "p de resistance "was after each thursday market in summer the square was laid out with all the vendors supplying fare for Tourists and residents alike ...A medieval banquet full of colour,music and merrymaking...we danced back to our sweet little house without a care in the world..A great base to explore this gentle landscape with views of distant Chateaux and Forest..safe and hidden...but also close to larger towns

Exactly as Described

Everything about our stay was exactly as described including the payment and access arrangements. The house was perfect for two couples and the restaurants as good as Sallie stated. The parking wasn't even as tricky as we had been told

Provides a delightful medieval experience

My Little French House is a lovely old house in a Medieval bastide. We spent a week in Monflanquin and were fortunate enough to arrive on the weekend of the annual Medieval Festival. We enjoyed the program of events. The location is close to many wonderful villages and sights in the region. A car is essential in the region. Many good places to eat and the weekly markets have great fresh produce. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Feel like a local

I stayed in My Little French House for a week in October with 2 friends and we all had a lovely stay. Sallie (owner in Australia) was a delight to deal with, extremely prompt with responses and very friendly.

On arrival in Monflanquin, a lovely little bastide village, Ian at the estate agency was also very friendly and we were shown to an immaculate house in the centre of the village. The house is a lovely old stone house over 3 stories and we really felt like locals staying in a typical house and walking to the boulangerie every morning. Since we were there in October, things were starting to close for the season but we just managed to catch the Creperie (excellent with an hilarious mother/son combo running it) and the Pizzeria, also good. We had read such wonderful things about The Black Prince we were disappointed to have missed it (closed for the season already!!). Whatever you do, do NOT eat at the hotel at the enrtrace to the town (think it's called Entrecote) - we had to wait an hour for a dreadful meal.

Monflanquin is a little off the tourist drag but then this suited us as we wanted to be able to explore the region without having to cope with the tourist hordes all the time. All in all we had a wonderful time and would recommend My Little French House whole heartedly.
