This is truly an exclusive and unique property. The home is very well designed, artfully crafted, beautifully decorated and very private. It has been featured in a design magazine and in local newspapers because of its distinctive architectural styling and the attention to detail in its design, finishes and furniture.

There are four bedrooms, all en-suite with full bathrooms. The master is elegant and lovely with a view out to the central garden and pool. The walk in closet is enormous. The master has a two sided fireplace which opens to both the bedroom and the spacious bathroom. The master bathroom has a large jacuzzi soaking tub, a very generous two person shower / steam bath and two separate sink areas.

The home is completely furnished with spectacular designer furniture and European antiques. Five - ten minute walk to the heart of Los Altos. Gorgeous living room and dining room, huge fully equipped kitchen/great room, four beautiful and spacious bedroom all with bathrooms in suite, a private office, a steam bath in the master bath, Jacuzzi tubes in 3 bathrooms, refrigerated wine room, European style outdoor pool and Jacuzzi and a small pool house. Lovely lush gardens. An extremely cozy and comfortable property on a quiet and dreamy dead-end street. This property is truly a gem.

About The Owner

We searched for almost a year for the perfect property to construct our dream home close to downtown Los Altos. We spent the next year designing a gorgeous Tuscan inspired villa with the thought that this would cure our wonderlust. It didn't work. Within two years of completing our dream house we decided to move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Italy with our then 8 year old son for one year. That one year has turned into 10 years. We bought our 2nd "dream' house in the heart of Chianti and took a year restoring it. We spend our time in both California and Italy. Many of the furnishing and accessories were purchased in France. Our decorator helped us create what is a magical home. We have shared our home with many, many guests over the years and everyone leaves yearning to return. You will feel as though you have entered a private world not in California but somewhere in Italy!

Why The Owner chose Los Altos Hills

We built this custom home for ourselves in 1997. It is a fabulous property. We spend about half of our time there and half our time at our property in Tuscany.

What makes this house unique

The property is a wonderful oasis, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The charming village of Los Altos is a lovely 5-10 minute walk from the house. Palo Alto and Stanford University are about a 10 minute drive and San Francisco is about a 40 minute drive. The San Francisco Bay area is not only a great place to work, but it is also an extraordinary place to vacation. There are many cultural venues (theatres, museums, universities)and recreational sites (the hugely popular Paramount Great America Theme Park, the Santa Cruz beach and boardwalk, Half Moon Bay, the San Francisco Bay, Carmel, Palo Alto, San Francisco, etc) within a one hour radius.
