Overall, this was a great place for our family of four teenagers. We entertained family there on New Year's Eve and it was wonderful. Lots of takeout options in the area, husband and son walked to Times Square. Although we were worried at first - it overlooks entrance to lincoln tunnel - you don't really notice the traffic and instead the panoramic view of skyline is wonderful.
Kitchen is beautiful.
However: the pictures are deceptive - beds are all doubles photographed sideways with all those pillows so you'd think they were at least queens. There are three queen pullouts, but two of them are so ancient and thin you can feel every spring - my boys took turns for the comfortable one.
The washer/dryer are unusable: washer is not balanced so it makes deafening noise and walks away from the wall and detaches drain - you have to hold the door closed while it spins to hold it in place... dryer is the miserable condensation kind, takes hours to dry, even though apartment is right on exterior wall and could easily have vent.
Also - terrible old pilled polyester sheets and thin quilts. No luck, ever, getting any more blankets out of them - we borrowed some from new york family members.
Finally - there is no cable unless you stay for a month - all those tvs in every room but only a few channels - no CNN to watch Anderson and Kathy on New Years...
Still, it was warm, super clean, lovely kitchen and we were very happy there. Kids loved being able to explore Manhattan on their own - convenient to subways and felt safe with fire station and Lincoln Tunnel cops all over the place.
