Tranquility is just a ferry ride away in this lovely home overlooking Lopez Sound. Lopez is the third largest of the major islands in Washington State's San Juans, and is known as the 'friendly' island. Bike the island's flat bucolic terrain past cow pastures, kayak in and out of hidden coves, and beach comb along pristine shores-- or simply enjoy the spectacular view from your private deck as ferries lazily make their way across the Sound.
The main room of the house has a soaring sky-lit cathedral ceiling, giving the great room spaciousness and filling it with natural light. Modern amenities include a well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher and microwave. It also has a washer/dryer, CD stereo system, barbeque grill, TV for DVD/VCR viewing (no cable), high speed internet, and is fully stocked with towels and linens. A propane fireplace in the living room takes the chill off cool evenings.
The large upstairs master suite, located with its own deck in a wing away from the common areas, has a queen size bed, sitting area with gas fireplace, walk-in closet, and large bath. On the main floor are two bedrooms with queen size beds that share a full bath. An additional bedroom has twin beds with extra trundle beds, its own bath and French doors leading out onto a large deck.
The home comes equipped with a croquet set for fun in the gated pasture, and both adult and children's bikes. A path from the property leads to a private beach. It is just 3.5 miles from Lopez Village, with its renowned bakery, restaurants, Farmer's Market, and kayak and bike rentals. In addition to several beautiful waterfront parks, hiking trails lead to grand views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and hungry seals diving for breakfast.
