We stayed at the Hideaway for 2 nights and it was perfect. Infinitely better than a hotel suite and a much better value, the apartment was just as described and a great home base for exploring Austin. Walkable to South Congress for restaurants, bars, music, food trucks etc. and an easy bike ride (which the owner has available for use) down to Lady Bird Lake and downtown. Can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I stayed at The Hideaway while visiting friends in Austin. The location was ideal - walking distance to everything on S. Congress as well as the park at Lady Bird Lake. There were many other interesting shops, bars and restaurants within a short driving distance. The studio is awesome - beautifully decorated and appointed, private and located in a wonderful neighborhood for walking and looking at all the other cool houses. Bill answered every question we had almost instantly and provides guests with all kinds of perks - guidebooks, travel and design magazines, beer, wine, coffee and tea. The pictures seen on this Web site are completely accurate - it's actually better in person. We will absolutely stay here on every trip to Austin.

The Perfect Hideaway!!!

My husband and I just spent a week in this exceptionally appointed hideaway. The owners, Bill & Dora, have thought of everything. It is as if Scott McGillivray (Income Property) was hired to remodel and design the perfect getaway. Out one window you can see downtown Austin - out another - a beautiful tree fills the scene. It is extremely clean. Quiet neighborhood. Great location. Just can't say enough. Thank you, Bill & Dora, for all your suggestions - they were spot on. Can't wait to visit again!
