I am a firm believer that exciting Designs and different amenities like this building should be experienced and shared by those who want to experience them. We are critical to whom we rent to . Much love and work went into this building and we will insure whom ever rents respects this property for others in the future as well as us the owners.
George H. Suddell purchased this house in 2006
Any one can rent a home in the woods! I dont like vacationing and after a day of activities getting into a cold car to travel to and from restaurants on slippery roads at night. This is why I developed a 'Gem' within walking distance to Restaurants , Shops, Art galleries etc. Free bus shuttle to the ticket booths at the Mountain. I'm sleeping in! while my teenage kids go up to the mountain to catch the Virgin Snow. After a day of fun, play Pool in front of a warm Fire. As Randy would say 'Its the BOMB!!! ' a unique experience.
7 miles from Mount Snow with Free' Moovers' Shuttles Bus to and From the Mountain. located next to the ' Maple Leaf brewery'with great food, no need to drink and drive, just drink and walk 20 feet Home.other Restaurants , Bars, Shops and Art galleries just a Stroll down the Historic main street.
Enjoyed the stay near all in the town like a little Aspen it was great! Awesome environment to relax with friends.
The house was perfectly set up for our three families with 13 people. It was wonderful being right in the center of town, close to food shopping, stores, even a pub just a stone's throw away. It felt like a home away from home with all of the amenities. We wish we could have stayed longer!
This place is very special and located in the center of an adorable Vermont town! Walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. The home is large and very spacious. Great kitchen with everything you need. Play pool, foosball or warm up in the sauna! George was wonderful to speak with and checked in to make sure that we were happy! There is a beautiful lake nearby and a state park. We made so many wonderful memories and the comfort of the place makes you feel like you are home! Thank you!! Lisa
This place is perfect and the owners are just too hospitable. We stayed here with 9 guys and there was still extra space to sleep. We've already talked about coming here again next year and possibly summer time. The location is in the middle of everything and the mountain is a 15 min drive, not to mention the shuttle comes by every hour. Everything inside was perfectly clean and welcoming. You'd be crazy not to try this place out. The owner is very nice and made this a very easy, fun time. Don't skip out on this place. Pool table, wet bar, sauna, foosball table, fireplace, next to bars and restaurants.
My two siblings and me, along with some of our adult kids spent a weekend up at the Suddell for a family reunion. We all wanted our getway to be not too far from Boston and NYC. We needed to be close to a kick ass ski mountain in an area that offered us plenty of opportunities to have fun off the slopes. The Suddell House in Wilmington VT was the answer and is now our family go to spot. It's located on the cross roads of route 9 and 100 and only minutes away from Mt. Snow. There were 12 of us and we could not have selected a cooler, more fun place to stay. The house is huge, clean and has everthing you could want or ask for. The photos don't do this house any justice. Great eat-in kitchen, off the hook party barn with bar, pool table, loft, fire place, large screen TV. Plenty of bedrooms and baths. Friday night we walked 200 feet down main street to a local pub and enjoyed a night filled with laughs and Karaoke. The next morning half our group hit the slopes and the others hit the local bowling alley, old fashioned candle stick. Sat night we stayed in and cooked a huge family dinner, listened to music, played pool, a few games and reconnected with loved ones. This was truely a very special weekend made possible by us renting George and Mary's vacation home. We will be back next year for sure.
The home was conveniently located in town and only a 10 minute drive to the slopes. Very quiet at night with little traffic. The house was very spacious and comfortably sleeps 10-12 people. The wood burning fireplace was wonderful to sit in front of after a long day of skiing. The house was extremely clean with all the necessities we could need (towels, sheets, shampoo, soap, etc.). There were multiple bathrooms which really helped with a large number of people. I would recommend this rental to anyone.
