This is the perfect location to enjoy all Lake Tahoe has to offer, located just two blocks from the lake or a short walk through the forest to another sandy beach at Skylandia park. Tahoe City is just over a mile away, minutes on the bike trail passing through the expansive meadow bordering the complex.
This condominium was completely remodeled in 2011, creating a beautiful living room, modern fully equipped kitchen, and 'state of the art' entertainment equipment. There is a 42' HD TV above the natural rock fireplace in the living room. The downstairs bedroom has been especially set up as both an 'entertainment room' and as a fourth bedroom with a 47' HD TV, lots of video and board games, a sofa bed and extra play space. Both TVs have DVD players, one is a Blu-Ray .
Our home has a well equipped kitchen, with all new appliances and handcrafted counters. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic supplies needed for a relaxing stay: salt, sugar, flour, other dry goods, laundry detergent, dishwasher and hand soap, paper towels, napkins etc.
The back deck has wonderful southern exposure. There is sun on most of the deck through out the day, making it the perfect place to stretch out for a tan, relax with a book, or enjoy a BBQ. It is fully fenced with a lockable gate so it supplies a safe and secure location for children, pets and and easy bicycles access. (very convenient and not common in Lake Forest Glen) This is one of the closet units to the lake; just walk out the back gate, and it's a five minute walk away.
The Lake Forest Glen complex has all the amenities needed for a completely relaxing vacation for adults and loads of fun for the kids. There are two large pools (one focused for adults only) with plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing, tables and chairs for visiting, hot tub and sauna. In addition, there are five beautifully maintained tennis courts, basketball courts, and newer super cool playground. Surrounding all this is a huge meadow and a paved bicycling path that takes you to Tahoe City (1.5 miles), along the west shore or along the Truckee River to Truckee. Garden paths run throughout the complex with lovely landscaping surrounded by forested open space and plenty of lawn for playtime.
Extra parking for boat, RV or trailer or third vehicle available.
Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar are all about 15 minutes away and easily available by public transportation.
This is the ideal place for a relaxing, affordable vacation or extended stay with all the excitement and activities of Lake Tahoe practically at your doorstep.

We both grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and vacationed with our families in the Tahoe City Area. We have always loved Tahoe and spend as much time as possible between work and family activities in our condo. We know the area well, and enjoy sharing our favorite places.
Mary Janney purchased this condo in 2010
We purchased a unit in this community due to the fantastic location next to the lake, paved bike path, and national forest.. We love the 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride into Tahoe City for morning coffe. We can also bike from our condo, up to the high school to head out for a day of mountain bike trais through the national forest.. Kings beach, state-line and incline village are a short drive, and most of the ski resorts are 5 to 10 minutes drive away.
With all of the amenities such as pool, sauna, tennis, snow plow service and beautiful grounds it is so much more relaxing that the family cabin we still own just a mile away. There is additional free parking available for boat, jetski, or snowmobile. One of the best boat ramps on the north shore is less than a mile away.
With just a short walk out the back porch, you can sip your coffee at lake edge while it is still hot from your kitchen. Because we use it at least twice a month, the condo is completely set up with all the things you need for a perfect vacation. Information on all the best beaches, hikes, restaurant are all in our coffee table guide.
Townhouse was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We had a great stay. We loved all the games downstairs and as a mom, I appreciated the in unit laundry. Great location with easy access to Tahoe City and ski resorts.
The unit is just as pictured and described on the VRBO listing, though feels bigger than we expected. Very inviting and comfortable. Stylish but relaxed. It was very clean, well maintained, nice kitchen appliances. The owner was very available for questions and eager to make sure we had no problems or concerns. With 3 upstairs bedrooms and a downstairs "game room"/extra bedroom, there is plenty of room for a family, or for a small group of people to do divergent activities, but still stay together. And the owners made an extra effort to make your dog feel welcome! There's a dog bed, extra towels for cleaning them off from the lake/snow, bowls and toys. The area is very quiet, but still just off the Highway for an easy drive. Would definitely recommend!
Our family loves to go to Tahoe in the summertime. This year we tried North Shore for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the amenities that this condo has to offer as well as all of the nearby activities. My family used the pool (stocked with pool toys) and tennis courts (the condo has rackets and balls) many times during our stay. Our dog was very happy on the secure back patio on the days we did non dog-friendly activities (eg. summer concert on the bay). As a mom of 3, I'm always happy to see a kitchen stocked with essentials and spices to use if needed. There was a popcorn air popper, a relic from my childhood that my kids thought was so much fun. We used the crockpot and the blender too. The kitchen is not big, but it worked just fine for us. The house is well-stocked with board games that our family loved to play. Though we didn't use the game system and movies, we did enjoy the giant wall-mounted tv to watch the World Cup final and All-Star game. The condo had plenty of room for our family, dog, bikes, and more. The owners are very responsive to questions and requests. We could walk to the nearby beach and park. I would recommend this rental for a budget-conscious family who is looking for a comfortable, well-stocked place to stay.
Enjoyed a great week. Kids loved the pool and tennis courts on the premises. Short walk to a dog friendly beach. Just minutes from town for breakfast, kayaking or jet skiing.
Fantastic bike trails right from front door. NorthStar, Squaw, Alpine Meadow ski resorts less than 30 minutes away. Groomed Cross country skiing less than a mile away. Mountain bike into lake tahoe ridge trails less than a half mile away.
