Takako SAKANO purchased this apartment in 1991
We (2 adults, 3 children) spent 3 nights in this lovely well equipped apartment which has an excellent location and corresponds with the ad. Takako is very nice and trustworthy and we could always reach her when needed. Overall, a great stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other visitors.
This apartment has an excellent location. For the price you probably can't find a better place to stay. The wifi is strong. Neighborhood has many good restaurants and grocery shops to stock the kitchen. Building seems safe and secure. But that said, we did find that there were a few things that we weren't so happy with.
There were 3 of us (ladies), so we each claimed a sleeping area. The separate bedroom is fine, except that everyone must walk through there to get to the bathroom. The person sleeping in the living room said that she could hear neighbors talking until late in the night. The person sleeping in the loft basically could not sit up in the bed without hitting her head on the ceiling. If you are the least bit claustrophobic, this won't work for you.
All the cleaning supplies have been left standing in the bathroom and kitchen. First off, that is a big hazard for anyone with small children and secondly, it's unsightly. They should be stored somewhere else. That is also the case in the bedroom where it seems like repair paints and plaster, etc., are just shoved under the bed.
The kitchen is extremely small. You cannot open the fridge door easily because of location and then you have to bend down to add or retrieve items. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but with adults it is not comfortable...just saying.
There is no where to place your luggage during your stay, so you are constantly walking over suitcases.
Lastly, the electric wiring is kind of scary. Although there are light switches and lamps, they don't work. What does work seems to have been taped together to just get by. The bathroom has one small light over the sink. Showering at night, when the shower curtain shuts out that small light, is kind of a nightmare. There are strange cords and wires all over the place.
If this apartment had a bit of a makeover, it would be great.
I would recommend this apartment for a quick getaway but not for more than 2 persons and not for an extended period.
I stayed for 5 days at this location. The location is truly unbeatable - walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ste. Chapelle and major Metro/RER stations. The space is clean and bright.
There was a total of 4 adults in the space. We all slept comfortably with two adults in the main bedroom and two adults in the day bed in the living room. The kitchen is small but very functional. The bathroom is clean but is only accessible through the main bedroom. You will have to climb 2 flights of stairs to the suite since there are no elevators in the building. Building is very secure.
Takako is super nice and gave great instructions for restaurants, bakeries, etc. in the area. Payment was very smooth, all via Paypal prior to arrival. Deposit was refunded the day we left.
Overall, a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.
We are family of 4 adults from Canada and stayed in Takako’s apartment for 11 nights.
The apartment is exactly as advertised: small, but very functional, with a separate room, bathroom and a living area. The living area consists of a dining place, sitting/sleeping place, small kitchen and loft (about 1m underneath the ceiling) above the kitchen. The ceilings are also fairly high. There are 3 separate sleeping places: a queen size bed in the bedroom, a convertible bed in the living area (we did not convert it) and an oversized king size bed in the loft above the kitchen area. There is lots of natural light from the window in the living area which faces a small courtyard. There is also a window in the bathroom and a small one in the loft. The entrance to the apartment is clean,. We did not notice any unpleasant noise from neighbours and had a good, safe rest. A bonus was definitely that there was free Wi-Fi that worked well.
One of the best aspects of this apartment is its location. It is located in the center of Paris in the upscale 1st arrondissement and is within walking distance to some main attractions (5min to Louvre, 10min to Notre-Dame de Paris, directly located in the shopping district). The public transportation in the area is also a bonus; there are about three metro stops within a five minute walking distance and numerous buses. There were many restaurants in the area as well as a lovely Boulangerie just down the street.
As for the hostess, Takako is easygoing and punctual and we could always reach her when needed; moreover, she left very useful instructions about home care, transportation, grocery stores and restaurants. Check in and out was easy and efficient. Because the payment method was agreed prior to our arrival, there were no surprises or hidden fees.
Overall, the price was very reasonable, especially considering the location of her apartment. We would definitely consider Takako’s apartment for our next visit and recommend it to other visitors.
Thank you Takako!

We spent 3 nights in this place. It was so nice to be there, in the heart of Paris. The owner is very helpful. The appartment is cute and useful.
Thanks a lot again. We'll come back asap.
My husband and 24 year old son stayed 3 nights in this apt. and had problems with the owner demanding that the previously agreed upon method of paypal payment be cash instead. She sent an e-mail to this effect on our travel day so I did not receive it. When we arrived I told her I did not have the cash to pay the rent ( I did pay the security deposit with cash as we had agreed upon). She was out of town and had sent a friend who spoke no English to check us in so she communicated to me by calling the apt. and finally agreed for me to use paypal. As I was trying to log my phone on to her Wi-Fi and process the payment after traveling all night from the US she called every 3 or 4 minutes which had me so flustered I could barely think. Not the kind of welcome I expected. Maybe she hasn't rented her apt. very long but she needs to decide what method of payment she wants and stick with it.
