The home sits high-on-site, on an incredible .82-acre lot with a private pond (for ice staking in winter) and no impact from highway noise. Nestled by national forest, an untouched hillside provides the illusion of seclusion, contrary to the reality that all Vail has to offer is right around the bend. Featuring an architecturally stunning facade with a bridge leading to the front entrance, the home itself is undoubtedly worthy of its location. Boasting five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms (each bedroom with it own bathroom), a great room with vaulted ceilings and wall-to-wall windows overlooking the pond and mountainside, the spacious interior exudes warmth and functionality. Luxury finishes in the kitchen and throughout deliver the final touch to this exceptional mountain estate.

About The Sullivan's

We are a family based in Chicago, who love the mountains and skiing. Very house proud, we take special care to make our home beautiful and welcoming. It has given us so much joy. Kelly & Michael (in the picture) both come from large families - Kelly is from Kansas City, went to TCU in Texas for college and is one of 10 children; Michael is one of 12 and is from Chicago, but lived for 10 years in Ireland going to University College Dublin for undergrad. We love the outdoors (the picture is from a nearby lake to our Vail home with two of our kids), hiking, boating, camping, cooking on an outdoor fire are all wonderful. We are expecting our 4th child this year and so will not be in Vail this season. We hope you come instead!

When I was a child I would come to Colorado for summer camp, and Vail to ski. We have family and friends in Denver and when the opportunity presented itself, it was a natural fit.

What makes this estate unique

We love to host and to gather friends and family together for fun. The size and secluded location were just right for us. The 4 bedrooms, roomy open cathedral spaces, steam room, views, so close to the outdoors, so deceptively near the social life of Vail Villiage - this place has it all.

Magnificent Mountain Home

We just stayed at this beautiful home for a week in February. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had picked the right one. The home is beautifully decorated with a huge living room and fireplace, and a den with a tv on the main floor, and another sitting area below. If you're going with a big party like we did, the space is plentiful. The kitchen is large and includes every appliance (2 ovens, wine cooler, built in griddle) and gadget, and also comes loaded with cooking essentials (olive oil, spices, etc). The bedrooms are all large in size and each has an attached bathroom. If you are lucky enough to stay in the master suite, the fireplace, jacuzzi tub and steam shower are an added bonus. The laundry room with high end appliances is upstairs near the bedrooms, and is filled with extra towels and sheets labeled by bed size. There is an office with a computer and printer with wifi which came in handy when we had to print out our boarding passes for our return flight. Another nice touch was the radiant heat - it was great to come home from a day of skiing to the warm floors. And speaking of skiing, there is a mudroom off of the garage which was ideal so that everything could be taken off before entering the house.

If you're a skier like we are, the location of the home is ideal. It's less than 5 minutes to Vail and 15 to Beaver Creek, and shopping centers are about a mile away.

The owner of the house is a pleasure to deal with, and the caretaker was also very helpful. It had snowed quite a bit when we were there, and the driveway and walkways were taken care of for us. And as a courtesy to our kids, he came by one day and cleared the pond in hopes someone would ice skate.

All in all, a terrific place to say. We highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

My family and I have been traveling to Colorado for over 10 years to ski at Vail during the Holiday week. We came from near and far to be together. This year we stayed at this amazing home. Actually, we called it a palace. It was immaculate, spacious and luxurious in all one, yet we all felt right at home. Each bedroom having its own bathroom attached made getting to the slopes in the AM simple. We had space for all of us with amenities galore. The views are spectacular, the beds are like sleeping on a cloud. We cannot wait to return every year to this beautiful property. Another bonus is how close it is to Vail, less than a 10 minute drive. Beautiful HomeAway captures our hearts

From the first moment we stepped into the soaring foyer, we knew we were in for a treat at this lovely home the Vail mountains. This property offers excellence around every corner. We experienced peace, comfort and true relaxation in this wonderful environment.

The location, while being a short drive to the slopes, is very quite with a scenic ridge separating it from highway noise. Access to an extended trail system ideal for hiking, running, or biking is just outside the door, which makes it very attactive even in the "off-season".

Few facilities live up to my exacting ergonomics standards, but this exceeded my expectations, with gorgeous accommodations, comfy furniture and truly wonderful beds. The kitchen at the center of the main floor is a pleasure to cook in. The host's vegetarian recipes are also fabulous! We will eagerly stay here on our next Vail visit, and bring all our friends as well.
