Perfect for weekend getaways to San Diego/Carlsbad area
I stayed here just recently with my 5 year old son and my mother in her 70s. We decided fairly last minute to take a trip to Legoland, Seaworld, and the San Diego Zoo for spring break. I have stayed in vacation rentals all over the world and you could tell this unit was recently renovated with lots of care. The unit was extremely clean (which is not always the case in rentals I've stayed at) and everything worked. While it lacks a full size refrigerator, we were gone for the entire day during our stay and ate dinner out so we only really used the kitchen for breakfast and that was it. The extra half bath was really nice as well. The location is fabulous for Legoland, outlets, and about a half hour from sights in San Diego. The only (and I mean mild) criticism is that the main bedroom does not have a heat source. The only heat source is in the living room from a dual a/c/heat unit. I slept in the bedroom and got quite chilly since I shut the door to the living room. However, given the climate in San Diego, I doubt this is a problem the majority of the year and won't be an issue for most renters. I would definitely stay there again.
