The Living Room, Master Suite, Guest Bedroom, Front Patio Furniture, BBQ, Kitchen Appliances, linens, towels and artwork is all brand new. The property is located on a quiet walk street and is steps to the beach. Rest assured you are in one of the most prime locations of Southern California located in Manhattan Beach with access to all sorts of fun.

Large Master Suite encompasses one third of the 2nd floor includes ample closet space, king size bed plus a twin size bed with dresser. The second bedroom is comfortable, colorful room, and features a trundle bed/ two twin beds and a futon, which is ideal for children plus its own fireplace that opens to a rear patio. The living room has a pull out queen sleeper sofa. TV’s with cable are located in each bedroom and main living room. Fully equipped kitchen features Dishwasher, Oven, Stove, Refrigerator, Cooking Utensil, and everything you should ever require.The dining table and/or eating area seats 4-8 people not including the 4 bar stool counter & living room sofa and other furniture. Private Laundry Room.

Clean and Superb Location

This was our first time to stay in this property, although we have stayed in Manhattan Beach at least twice a year over the past 10 years. The Home Away listing and description is accurate. The master bed is comfy and our daughter reported the trundle bed in the bedroom downstairs to be comfy also. There is also a futon bed in the lower bedroom. Downstairs sleeping is child oriented. There are plenty of towels and bed linens. A washer and dryer is located just outside the lower bedroom in a separate room off the patio. There is an adequate supply of kitchen utensils, appliances and cookware. And the Weber grill works great, one of our requirements for a rental. The Fios TV and internet works great with a Fios HiDef receiver in the living area, and a standard Fios receiver in each bedroom. There were DVD receivers in the living area and maybe in the other two bedrooms, although we didn’t use them.

The property is clean and well maintained. The property manager, Chris, is responsive to any inquiries, although we only had a few minor issues. They were quickly resolved. One of the things we liked best about this property was that the storage areas were not filled up with the owners items, giving us plenty of room to hang clothes in the closets, stash our other vacation items and place our groceries in the pantry.

In the garage, our Toyota Sienna van and a Nissan Altima fit fine. There are garage openers and a keypad for entry. There are also some beach items, including surf boards for use.

We would recommend this property to friends or relatives and we have already booked our next stay.

The walk to the beach in 3 short blocks down hill. Walking into town is about :05 with access to shopping and our many favorite restaurants. The Strand fronting the ocean along Manhattan Beach is great walking, bike riding or roller blading. Those activities extend beyond Manhattan beach either way. For golf, there is a nice par 3 course in El Segundo and another real nice par 3 in Palos Verdes (recommended by property manager Chris).

We’d recommend this property for families and retirees. If you did not have a vehicle, it is a short cab ride from LAX. Once at the house, you can easily get around without an automobile.

Perfect vacation rental!!!!!!

Perfect location!! House is well maintained and has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the patio at sunset while we BBQ. Short easy walk to the beach, downtown restaurants and shopping.

Definitely exceeded our expectations both times we have stayed here and have

already booked to comeback for our next vacation.

Great house, great location, great management!

Our family of four had a wonderful Manhattan Beach Christmas vacation staying in this home. It is in the perfect location, on a quiet walk street two short blocks to the beach and about a 5 minute walk to downtown with its cute shops and delicious restaurants.

The property manager, Chris, is extremely responsive and friendly. He recommended shops and restaurants and all around made sure we had a great stay.

The house is in very good condition. There are TVs with FIOS in the living room and both bedrooms. The master bedroom is very big with a large bathroom. It saved us that the master had a king bed and a twin bed since our young children decided they didn't want to sleep in the second bedroom downstairs. We knew this was a risk for us going in... but it was still great to have the extra space downstairs for their clothes etc. Not to mention another bathroom downstairs and the laundry room across from the downstairs patio area.

The garage fit our SUV rental just fine. The kids made good use of the equipment kept in the garage including balls and boogie boards.

There is a ton to do in and around Manhattan beach. We spent a couple days just hanging at the beach and walking around downtown Manhattan Beach or Hermosa. We also did plenty of day trips to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach (best aquarium we've been to and ours in Boston is pretty nice!), Los Feliz, Runyon Canyon in LA. We also made the 2 hour drive to Legoland which the kids loved.

We are counting the days until we can return to Manhattan Beach, it's a charming community. We would definitely stay in this house again.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

We had an absolutely awful experience with the property. After the first day of moving in, we sent a detailed list of items that were not functioning and/or broken in the home.

Within the first couple of weeks of our stay we had a plumbing issue in the kitchen, which required the assistance of a plumber. Two weeks after the incident, the broker and property owner (who also owns the real estate firm that manages the property) came over to look at some blinds that continued to break. The owner stated that he saw no damage done by the incident.

A month after leaving, the broker sent a list of charges: plumbing, fixing cupboards (the very ones that I detailed were broken upon arrival) and extra boxes to recycle (calling it “extraordinary cleaning”). When I pointed out that the charges didn’t correspond to us because I had clearly communicated the broken items in the home upon entry, he responded by saying I was lucky that he didn’t make me replace the kitchen floors!

If I'd known all this would transpire with the house, I wouldn't have paid 72 nights for a vacation rental! Very upsetting and disturbing experience. I cannot recommend this property.

Owner's Response: I am sorry that our client did not enjoy the experience at our property. Many of the points made above are incorrect. Below is our representation of the situation. A. List: We never received a list of broken items at the property prior to move in. This property is kept in great shape and we have never had any complaints. B. Plumbing: The tenant disposed of a "banana peel" in the garbage disposal which broke the disposal and caused flooding to the hardwood floors. The owner and I agreed to only charge the tenant for the plumbing bill versus the floors too. C. Blinds & Cabinet Hinges: The blinds and cabinet hinges were fine when the tenant checked in. There was never any notice to us prior to the tenant's move in that there were any problems. One month after the move in we were notified that there was an issue with the blinds and cabinet hinges. We responded as soon as we were notified and fixed them immediately. We did not charge the tenant for this damage which was likely caused by the toddler staying on the property. D. Boxes: In our contract it states that any extraordinary cleaning will be the tenants responsibility. The tenant had left over 70 boxes in the unit that we needed to break down and dispose. The reason we require a damage deposit for all rentals is to protect the owner from damage made by tenants. We were more than fair because we only charged for the plumbing bill and an extra $25 for the cleaning/removal of boxes. We do all we can to ensure our clients are happy with the property and the property is in good shape prior to move in.

Perfect location for beach vacation

Our family of five spent a week at this house over the Christmas break. The location was perfect for the beach and just a short walk into town for restaurants and shops. The house is very comfortable. Highly recommended.
