This luxury townhome is a fantastic way to spend your time in NYC!
We got to the house and we were able to check in early. Location it is ok. However, when we entered the house, we found two cockroaches one dead and one alive. The house was very dusty. Light bulbs were out throughout the house. The two bedrooms in the third floor did not have vents for air conditioning; therefore, if you rent it in the summer you will be extremely hot and uncomfortable. Our last day was Sunday June, 22 and this was the worse experience we ever had in our lives.
Saturday afternoon, went down stairs to the office to request a late checkout! The person who was working in the second shift that Saturday, June 21, said that we can check out at noon with no problem because the house was not being rented. Based on what he told me, we planned our Sunday morning. Well, guess what happened…..Sunday morning, June 22, three cleaning ladies knocked at our door at 11:00am and said very rudely that they needed to get into the house to clean. So I’ve explained to them that I’ve made arrangements with the office for a late checkout, which was noon. They were so rude, that our group felt invaded of privacy. Two people were still showering, so I went down stairs to speak to the office, but the gentleman who was working that morning had no customer service skills. He did not care what we were experiencing and gave us a few minutes for the two people who were finishing showering. He kept referring to the contract which states check out is 11:00am. I kept trying to explain but no luck. WE WERE KICKED OUT OF THE HOUSE.
My group of 16 people would not rent this place again or recommend it. This place was not cheap so I would recommend going to a five start hotel and getting several rooms.
WE STAYED AT YOUR PROPERTY AND IT WAS ALL WE AXPECTED FOR, WE WALKED EVERYWHERE, CLEAN, SPACIOUS, AND BEAUTIFUL.
THE BEDS ARE REALLY COMFORTABLE, BATHS CLEAN, LIVINGROOM WHERE WE CAN HAVE GREAT DINNERS THE 14 OF US, IN RESUME, THE BEST IN NY THANKS FOR EVERYTHING
Upon entering the Brownstone property, I was flawed by how spacious and clean it was. Beautiful archways, wood floors throughout, large mirrors, recessed lighting - it was so classy. Floor to ceiling windows allowed the sun to stream in. Upgraded kitchen with gorgeous granite counters and upgraded wood cabinets. Full appliance package...everything necessary to stay the weekend was provided including wine glasses, utensils , dishes etc. A coffee maker and electric teapot was also provided. The bedrooms were spotless and each had a wall TV. Extra comforters and pillows were provided and enough towels for each person. There was a jacuzzi and all the bathrooms were totally upgraded with tumbled tile. We were thrilled to have WiFi included. Every room was nicely appointed with comfortable couches, and beautiful furniture. It was wonderful to be located around the corner from the train, but in most cases we took taxis to our destinations. It was easy to get one at the corner. It was a very convenient location to Times Square . Our favorite breakfast was at the Brooklyn Diner. From there we had the best dinner at 44 1/2 Hells Kitchen on 10th Ave. Another night we went to SoHo for dinner on Mulberry Street - Balaboosta - Mediterranean food. Then we walked 3 blocks into Little Italy for the best dessert at the world famous Ferraras. We called for a taxi via my Uber app on my smart phone, We went to a masquerade dinner show at Zenger Hall on west 34th between 8th and 9th Ave. Madison Square Garden was right across the street. Everything was a short distance from the apartment. My family and I were extremely happy the whole time we stayed here and can't wait to do this again on another occasion. We had an emergency phone number in case there was a problem. Fortunately we did not have to make such a call. The cleaning service came just when we were leaving. Fresh linens and towels were being delivered also. Oh, did I mention there was a beautiful yard? It was a snowy, cold weekend, so we weren't able to enjoy that, but I could imagine that this is definitely an asset on a nice day.
This house was perfect for a large family gathering but several things went wrong:
The air conditioning didn't work. Once it was fixed, the system leaked and created a week of water mess which the property management team didn't fix.
The bedrooms and beds were plentiful and comfortable but, the 3 upstairs bedrooms don't have privacy -- their doors are glass with no curtains. Further, two of the upstairs bedrooms don't have air conditioning vents.
The kitchen is ill-equipped for all but the most basic of cooking. When we asked the property managers for bowls, they said that bowls were unnecessary kitchen equipment.
On the positive side, the place is well situated and convenient. Lots of great Indian restaurants in the neighborhood.
