Waynesville Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Lodge, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 12-14)
UNDER NEW MANGEMENT! We are happy to be part of Premier Vacations rentals, with a new emphasis on giving our guests a clean and wonderful experience here. From the moment you arrive at Watersong you'll feel the tensions ease away. Two acres of naturalized mountain landscaping with mountain laurels, black eyed Susan, and bountiful wildflowers bounded by a spring fed stream in a cascade of little waterfalls chuckle and murmur as they lull you to sleep each night. Separated from the world by your own grove of white pine and hardwoods yielding to a sweet view of the valley and Hemphill Mountain. Stroll through the grounds and you'll find all sorts of wonders - follow the stream down to the picnic area and fire-pit great for a family cookout. Further up the stream you'll discover a bench by the water perfect for sneaking off for a read or a break from the crew.
Watersong's spacious vaulted great room is an excellent place to gather the gang for movie time, story time by the stone hearth fireplace, or a friendly game of poker on the provided Texas hold'em table with full professional chip set while you gamble for cleanup duties tomorrow. Two teak dining tables let you configure for family buffets, country style sit-down dinners, or return to the kiddy table and the 'grownups'. Wrought iron seating for 12, beautiful cobalt settings for many more, artisan flatware and linens make dinner a delight for all, and the large kitchen with lots of counter space, cookware and a stockpot that could feed pasta to an army - make cooking together a joy.
The master suite features a large walk-in closet, walk-in shower, and iron frame queen bed with flat screen TV and the sound of the brook will soothe you to sleep anytime. Another queen bedroom with iron frame and moose accents lies across, with two double beds and skylight featuring a moose theme in the third upstairs bedroom. The second bath up serves the great room and bedrooms two and three.
On the way downstairs you'll find the lending library with loads of books for you to enjoy - anywhere, anytime. Downstairs is the second living area, set up specially for the kids with a game ready TV and DVD player as well as a Foosball table. Start your day in the mountains with a workout on the Total Gym machine, and finish with a soak in the new hot tub while enjoying the view from the downstairs deck/porch area, or stage a burger bonanza on the big gas grill. You'll also find a large queen bedroom with two closets and built-in ironing board, as well as the kid's room with a bunk set and futon featuring their own TV and DVD set. The utility room has large capacity washer and dryer for you to use so you can travel a bit lighter. The third bath is here also, with a full size tub/shower fed by a high capacity water heater. You'll love wandering up Max Patch for a most incredible 360 view of the Smokies, popping over to Cataloochee to see the elk and fish the wild streams. Fishermen can relax in Johnathan Creek just down the hill (I caught a 24' rainbow there this fall) behind Cajun's shack, or travel to the famous Davidson River for giant browns, or trophy waters in Cherokee. We're only 10 minute from the Wheels Through Time museum, subject of an excellent TV series this year. Around the corner, Queen's stables can take you up top on horseback for an easy escape, and lazy ride over the mountains. Our guests can shop in Maggie or Waynesville, find an incredible arts and music scene in Asheville, spend an afternoon cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit the Pisgah Inn for a breathtaking view over an amazing dinner, or just curl up with someone special down by the creek while the family does their own thing. As they say, so much to do, so little time...
Close to everything, but away in a world of it's own - Watersong tenants who stay here make it a habit. Find out why our guests leave such great comments and return year after year.
