After spending the first 18 years of my life in the Eagle River area my wife, son and I were fortunate to be able to find our dream location on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes to make our escape from our daily living near Green Bay, Wisconsin. We truly feel blessed to be able to offer our home as a rental to others, so they can also build lasting family memories and enjoy getaways with friends as we have been doing in Eagle River throughout our life together.
There are no greater memories then the photo or video of your children learning how to fish, swim or just enjoying a day by the lake with friends.
Andrew Motowski purchased this house in 2012
As a family, the Eagle River Chain of Lakes is one of our favorite locations to spend time. Our property is uniquely located because it sits on a small bay overlooking Duck Lake. With a 1 acre lot and 2 homes it is large enough to provide for family fun but also able to accommodate for privacy. It has 125' of sand waterfront with a beach area, a large dock with quality fishing off the end and ample garage space for vehicles.
All this and less than 1 mile from restaurants and entertainment and only 4 miles from Eagle River.
The feature that made us fall in love with our property and the two homes was the SPECTACULAR view of the lake and the proximety to everything the Northwoods has to offer. A great property with an ideal location, PERFECT!
My wife and I were discussing the "Year in Review" and one of the wonderful highlights was our trip to the Eagle River area. That's when I realized that I meant to write this review 4 months ago. It's just simply, even "better that you expect". We stayed in the Lake House, the views from the main level deck are perfect. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck. The pine trees branches are cut high to give you a unrestricted view of the lake but provide shade throughout the day. The lower level patio was great for me to keep and set up my fishing gear. It also affords easy access to the path to the lake and the awesome fire pit. The pit is located just up from the dock, very nicely set up and offers a great view of the lake. We used the fire pit frequently in the evening. If you have a large group, renting both homes would be ideal. The way the property is set up, these two homes are nicely separated from the adjacent homes, so you feel nicely "isolated". Being on Duck Lake, the property is far enough away to give you the North Woods feeling but you can actually get into Eagle River quickly for the grocery runs or shops. There is a Gas Station and General store within easy walking distance for those quick needs. The owners are great people. They were very quick to get us information on renting a boat or dinning. They were staying in the Log House during our stay, but you never would have known they were there (except when I had questions about the area or lakes). We also brought our bikes and did the new 12 mile trail from Eagle River (Dairy Queen) down to 3 Lakes and back (total 24 miles). It was a very nice ride. We rented a Pontoon Boat for the week enjoyed exploring the "Chain of Lakes", fishing and evening cruises. On our first evening, we walked down to the dock and were sitting on the bench at the end of the dock. The two men fishing right in front of us caught a 42" Musky just off of our dock. They even pulled up and showed us the picture they took before they released him back into the lake. Not to mention, the eagles, there were lots of them!!!!! The Lake Home is very clean, nicely appointed and had everything we needed. The bottom line is we have every intention of making this home our first choice when we head up north. Which we hope to be frequently.
The houses & amenities were as described and pictured. Well decorated, well stocked, clean, and comfortable houses. If you don't bring your own boat, we would recommend renting the motor that the owner offers for the row boat. The owner was informative and quickly responded to all inquiries before and after we rented. The a/c was a blessing because of the high humidity & heat the week we stayed. Our family (14 of us, ages 1 - 71) had plenty of space and we usually gathered for the main meal of the day on the deck and dining room of the lake house. Trips to Eagle River were easy. Stand Up Paddle boards were rented nearby. The Riverstone Restaurant accommodated our group and the food was a tasty treat. Flea Markets, farmer's markets, parks and fishing guides all readily available. I would not hesitate to recommend this listing and imagine all seasons would have something special.
Beautiful and convenient location on the Chain of Lakes. Both cabins are well equipped well appointed and extremely comfortable. Added luxury of air conditioning, internet service and direct tv, it is easy to forget you are in a housekeeping cabin. Our extended family had a fabulous week at this property. The property managers were helpful and made sure that our stay exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.
Less then 1 mile from Miniature Golf, Horseback Riding, Go Kart Racing and Pirates Hideaway Pirate Ship. 2 miles from the World Championship Snowmobile Derby Track and Hall of Fame. Only 3 miles from the Children's Museum and Shopping in downtown Eagle River. Enjoy exploring the Northwoods with hiking only 5 miles away and ride your snowmobile from your front door to the trails.
