A Marvelllous House in Constantia, near the wineries
This beautiful house is located in a nice and upscale neighborhood in Constantia, close to local shopping market, restaurants and just a short drive to some of the wineries. We rented a car from Cape Town airport and was able to get to the house in about 20 minutes. After a long trip from Phoenix, Arizona, we arrived very late in the evening and was completely charmed by Victor, the butler, who welcomed us, in his dark suit and bow-tie, with a bottle of wine, biscuits, and a fire in the hearth.
The house is securely gated, well kept, and just as nice as presented by the web page. The rooms are large and artfully decorated. The garden is well manicured, and it was very enjoyable to sit outside in the comfortable lounge chase and sip on coffee in the morning. A PC and free wifi are also available.
We bought eggs, juices from the local grocery and Victor served us breakfast. He even offered to cook us dinner but we never had a chance to try out his culinary skills.
Many of Cape Town's tourist attractions are well within driving distance. Traffic was never a problem.
Overall, our families of 5 adults greatly enjoyed our stay at Walloon Farm. It certainly exceeds our expectation and is much more comfortable and uniquely enjoyable compared to staying in a sanitized, all too-familiar luxury hotel room.
