This gorgeous Craftsman home built was in 1933 but completely remodeled in 2012 from the ground up. Upon entering, you will find newly refinished hardwood flooring throughout. The home boasts a completely remodeled kitchen and bathroom with new stainless appliances, granite, and faucets & fixtures. The home is 850 sqft, but feels larger thanks to the open floor plan and additional sun porch.
The home has 2 queen beds, a queen pull out sofa in the living room, and a pack & play crib. We make all of our bedrooms cozy and comfortable with side tables, lamps, dressers for clothes, curtains and blinds for privacy. The living room has plenty of seating, a 47' flat screen TV, books/games/dvds, and is open to the dining room where the table expands and there is seating for 6. And the home only gets better when you enter the sun room - enjoy a good book or just sit and relax in privacy. Continue outside and grill some burgers, relax in the backyard, or just swing on the front porch. And the best part is this secluded retreat is just a short 8-10 minute walk to the train which will quickly take you downtown! The train drops you off in front of the convention center in about 18 minutes! *
AMENITIES: The home comes stocked with fresh linens & towels, soaps, a fully equipped kitchen, spices, etc... We provide all the things you might need in the kitchen including a coffee maker and grinder, toaster, blender, pots/pans, bake ware, and of course dishes, glasses, and utensils. There is a full size washer/dryer in the laundry area which is stocked with detergent, ironing board/iron, and household supplies. Guests may park in the driveway.
***All driving distances, distances to city transportation, mileage, and cab fares in listing are based on google maps information, CapMetro information, and/or past guest comments. Please visit CapMetro's website for updated train schedules and times to downtown***
The house is very nice.
The house conditions are perfect, it's very clean and well maintained, also it's very equiped with all the indispensable things. I haven't had any problem or inconvenience, I enjoyed my stay there. The neighborhood is too secure and perfect to have privacy.
Undoubtedly I will recommend this place to all my friends for future reservations.
Thanks for all the amenities and recommendations I felt like in home.
We've lived in Austin since 1996 and love the city! Amanda has been a licensed Realtor in Austin for 12 years, and we personally manage all of our rental properties - both furnished and unfurnished. We love meeting our guests from all over the world and creating a wonderful and memorable visit for them in Austin. And when we're vacationing, we always enjoy staying in vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts as well!
Developers were getting ready to tear down this home, but we just couldn't see it go! We moved it to its new home (yes, we moved the entire house!), and then renovated it into this gorgeous vacation rental. The home is a 1930's Craftsman home updated to 2012 amenities! It's an easy walk to many restaurants but the home is still tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The best part is the short 8 minute walk to the Crestview Lightrail Station which takes you downtown, as well as other places around Austin!
We have personally managed all of our rental properties for 10 years and take pride in each home we own. Our goal is to make sure every guest has a wonderful experience staying with us!
The City of Austin requires that Vacation rentals obtain a license for legal operation. Legal operations will have their license number in their listing.
The home is nestled in the quiet Austin neighborhood of Brentwood (adjacent to Crestview), a few blocks off the intersection of Lamar Blvd & 2222 (Koenig Ln), and is just a nice stroll or short drive to restaurants and coffee shops, including the Janis Joplin favorite, Threadgills. To get downtown, the home is only a block from the bus stop, a cheap cab ride, or a short drive! Looking for activities or your nearby destination? Just input the intersection of Lamar Blvd & 2222, Austin, TX into Google Maps and find out how close the home is to anything you are looking for! There are plenty of places to visit within walking distance and the home is only an 8 minute walk to the Crestview Lightrail Station which takes you to East Austin and Downtown Austin!
