My friends and I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at Juniper Lodge! The pictures truly don't do it justice -- the kitchen is well-stocked for serious cooks and bakers, the huge table terrific for group meals, the hot-tub perfect for relaxing, the surrounding property fun for wintertime adventures. The house is also huge -- more than enough room for all of us to spread out and comfortably lounge about. The owners and caretaker were immediately responsive to questions about various features of the house -- even calling me from abroad to let me know how to use the stereo system. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend vacationing at this house, and I hope we get to go back soon!

It was awesome. Our family had such a fantastic four days and with a full house we never felt crowded. I loved that all our daughters were cooking together in this large chefs kitchen and we could "all" sit down at the table together to eat. We really didn't realize how equipped the Juniper Lodge was for kids until our eight grandchildren showed up. Not one "im bored" did we hear all the time we were there. With the kids so busy their parents were also able to relax and enjoy. We could find ourselves sitting out on the deck in the evenings gazing at the stars, or enjoying that early morning coffee and quiet. The property was very clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfy and the hot water heater never ran out of hot water. What is also a plus is that your close to Lake Tahoe, Reno, Boca Resevoir, Donner Lake, and Truckee. They also allow those four legged family members.
Thank You Juniper Lodge, the memories of our family vacation and Juniper Lodge will always bring a smile to our face. We would without hesitation highly recommend this property.

Ok if you think this place looks good from the pictures wait til you're there in person! The house is amazing. The shear size of the house allowed for everyone to do their own thing or be all together. The hot tub and firepit were great even in the snow. We made huge family style meals in the kitchen, had a great Superbowl party and enjoyed hours and hours of fun playing billards and Wii downstairs. If it weren't for her getting hungry I would have never seen my 3 yr old come out of the playroom. Beds were comfy, linens were nice, house was superbly stocked. We put the snowshoes in the garage to use, the sleds and even the elliptical machine in the west wing hall got a workout. The owners have great taste and were a delight to do business with. We will definately be reserving Juniper Lodge again.
