FANTASTIC PROPERTY - LOVED IT - WOULD STAY AGAIN

I read the reviews and was a little nervous but took the chance anyway - glad I did. This is a fantastic place. Loved the atmosphere and it was so relaxing. This is a wonderful place to come and enjoyed the pool table so much. I would recommend this place to all of my friends. I was told upfront about the electricity charges. I understand that different folks use different amounts so I knew this would be coming out. It is a small price to pay for a much needed rest and relaxation.

HORRIBLE, STAY AWAY, DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!!

Staying here was a nightmare from the moment my family and I walked in the house to find it hadn't been cleaned. All the beds had the dirty linens stocked on top of each and more dirty linens on top of the washing machine. Trash in every trash can including dirty diapers in the trash basket under the kitchen sink. The house was filthy and stunk.For about an hour I called and sent texts to every contact number I had including the direct number to the property manager (Koen). I finally heard from Cathy (employee) and she said she would do me the favor and try to get the cleaning lady to come over and told me to stop texting her because she was on the highway on her way to Boston for vacation and that this was her private number and not company paid.The lady was there from about 7-10 pm and we were not able to use the property until she was done cleaning it.It was never mentioned to us that there was major construction on the roads in the neighborhood and we had to deal with unpaved streets and noise the entire week. We checked in on Sunday and by Wednesday we still had not heard from anyone to welcome us as advertised. I made numerous calls because the pool was so filthy that you couldn't see the bottom and when I tried to throw out my garbage I couldn't because the garbage container outside was completely full with the previous occupants garbage and had a huge maggot infestation.. There is a lot of mold on the lounge chairs by the pool and the dock as well as the pool deck and the dock. Neither barbeque is safe to cook on because they are coated with tons of rust. The tiki hut has a huge whole in the center of the top that you can only see if you stand underneath it. The carpet in the living room is badly stained and the cocktail table is broken. The stools in the dining room and kitchen have holes in the upholstery. I took pictures of everything including the electric meter when we got there and when we were leaving because we were going to be charged for electricity we used. I called LCEC (electric company for the area) and was informed how much they charge. I sent Cathy an email regarding the electric and she said the information I was given was wrong and that the fees are a lot higher and there are also other fees involved. Cathy charged us from Sunday to Sunday which included washing and drying the dirty linens of the previous occupant. I finally heard from Koen (manager) on Wednesday that week and he never apologized for anything and was very rude.

Awesomely relaxing and nice environment

We (my girlfriend and me) stayed here for 10 days (for the second time already). We came here to have a nice relaxing holiday, and it was a great success. We had nice weather all the time and stayed most of the the time sunbathing next to the pool.
We also went boating for a day, it takes a while to get to the gulf, but once you're there, it is worth the trip to and back from it.
We also went to Miami, which is a 2,5 hour drive from the house and is also worth the drive.

Besides the long drives there are plenty of things to see and do near the house itself. There are plenty of shopping malls nearby and grocery stores right around the corner. The neighbours are really friendly as well.

We had no problems with things in the house, it was very clean when we arrived there and we didn't had to contact the prop manager.

We will definitely come back here as it was a great second holiday we spent here.

Exellent vacation rental !

Upon arrival, Koen welcomed us personally at the Villa and guided us trough the specifics, which we could appreciate very much.

We found that the villa was very nicely renovated and it showed that quite a lot of effort was put in the interior it to make it a pleasant stay. We liked the attention to details like the lighting installation over the pool (special effect at night when you take a hit tub!), playstaion, pooltable etc... Our kids didn't want to leave...

Koen was also very helpful, when we wanted to do a BBQ we found that the gas bottle was empty. When i gave Koen a call it was very quickly replaced.

Beware of fictitious charges

The bath towels are in terrible shape (I went shopping for new ones for our own use), the kitchen is poorly stocked (not one baking pan - I also had to purchase one), and there is a horrible smell if the wind is from the south. I had to spend one morning cleaning every ceiling fan in the house since they are caked with grime. (I thought this was what causing my allergies to flare up but I believe they may have had animals in this house - so if you have any animal allergies, I would not rent this villa). We kept the patio doors open to the lanai and since we were being charged for the electricity; we never turned the AC on. Once we returned home and inquired about our deposit; we were told that the AC was broken and since we did not report it, we were accessed 10% of the bill to fix the AC on a weekend. !??!?!? We protested this fee as it is a maintenance issue not something that our security deposit is meant for AND if we had turned on the AC when we arrived on Saturday, it would have still been a weekend repair. Their logic for this fee made absolutely no sense. They provided us a copy of the bill and said sorry. We were charged to fix their AC that was "shot" as stated on the bill. We are EXTREMELY disappointed in how we cheated out of part of our deposit. We will never stay here again and never again rent through Koen.
