Loved the house

loved the house, Enjoyed our time there. the pool and hot tub were a bit confusing how to run. we discovered that we need to heat the hot tub 3 hours ahead of time then shut it off when done because the next day the spa dumps into the pool and you lose all the hot water in the spa. we shut it off alot and did not run the air conditioning much. The only complain we have would be the electric charged to us after our stay. Every day we were charged at least 25 dollars a day. Just doesnt seem right considering we were very careful about the electric we used. But all in all we would return and just be aware of the extra charges and put it in the budget.

Unable to use pool and spa

We found this vacation home online, and were thrilled. .The pictures of the lanai, with the pool and spa, were beautiful and inviting. It was below zero when we left home, and couldn't wait to get there and use them. As we approached the house, we noticed the construction in the street. We were not warned of this. When we arrived at the house at 4:15, fifteen minutes after check in time, the house was still being cleaned. She asked for 20 minutes more, but still wasn't finished when we returned at 5:00. There was a car parked in the middle of the garage, so we had to park in the driveway.This was worsened by the reclaimed water sprinkler that left spots on the car every night. We were told at first that they couldn't move the car, but later moved it. The house was pretty clean, except for a dirty wine glass we found by the bathtub.The white, living room carpet was quite stained with pet urine, and the vinyl furniture was peeling. We were not too worried, we were not planning on spending much time indoors.The problems really arose when we tried to use the pool and spa.It was January and chilly at night, so the water was always cold. We tried for days to heat them, but were not successful. We called the realtor, and he came over right away, to show us how to operate it. When he realized that it really wasn't working, he called a repairman. When he arrived, he said that someone had tried to fix the heater by themselves, and had done it wrong. Three times a repairman came to fix it. They were never able to keep it working for more than a day, so we were only able to use the hot tub a few times, and were NEVER able to use the pool. If a rental description includes beautiful pictures of a pool and spa, the expectation would be that you would be able to USE them. In addition, the heater was very expensive to run, and the pool filter ran all day long, every day. Also, the refrigerator was old and ran, quite loudly, all day and night. We never used the air conditioner, and were usually gone, to the beach, all day. About a week after we checked out, we were informed that they would be keeping a major portion of our deposit.They said this was for electricity usage, even though there was an allowance, for electricity, in the rent. It was a crazy amount for 26 days.Of course we tried fighting it.They gave in a little, but in the end, they still kept half of our deposit. If they had fixed the heater, and not overcharged us, we may have recommended it.

Very Nice!

This is a very nice property in a quiet part of Cape Coral. We had some minor problems in the beginning. Koen was very nice and prompt when we had a problem. The biggest problem is we never did get to heat the pool or the spa properly because of a compressor problem. Koen had several people over to fix it. The spa would not heat fully. I hope there will be consideration concerning this issue if we have any electricity overages. All in all it is a beautiful home and we would stay again!!

Perfect Place for me and my Friends from Germany

I met the Manager Koen, upon arrival at the House; he showed me all I needed to know about the Property and assured me that if there is any problem that he will promptly take care of it.

Although there was Road Construction going on at the Time it did not bother us at all. The House and the Pool including the Hot Top was all we needed for a relaxing Vacation. The Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. TV’s and I pod music in every Room. The house is nicely decorated with a European flair.

All in all a pleasant stay from start to finish. We highly recommend this place and we will be back if we decide to vacation in Cape Coral again.

FANTASTIC PROPERTY - LOVED IT - WOULD STAY AGAIN

I read the reviews and was a little nervous but took the chance anyway - glad I did. This is a fantastic place. Loved the atmosphere and it was so relaxing. This is a wonderful place to come and enjoyed the pool table so much. I would recommend this place to all of my friends. I was told upfront about the electricity charges. I understand that different folks use different amounts so I knew this would be coming out. It is a small price to pay for a much needed rest and relaxation.

HORRIBLE, STAY AWAY, DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!!

Staying here was a nightmare from the moment my family and I walked in the house to find it hadn't been cleaned. All the beds had the dirty linens stocked on top of each and more dirty linens on top of the washing machine. Trash in every trash can including dirty diapers in the trash basket under the kitchen sink. The house was filthy and stunk.For about an hour I called and sent texts to every contact number I had including the direct number to the property manager (Koen). I finally heard from Cathy (employee) and she said she would do me the favor and try to get the cleaning lady to come over and told me to stop texting her because she was on the highway on her way to Boston for vacation and that this was her private number and not company paid.The lady was there from about 7-10 pm and we were not able to use the property until she was done cleaning it.It was never mentioned to us that there was major construction on the roads in the neighborhood and we had to deal with unpaved streets and noise the entire week. We checked in on Sunday and by Wednesday we still had not heard from anyone to welcome us as advertised. I made numerous calls because the pool was so filthy that you couldn't see the bottom and when I tried to throw out my garbage I couldn't because the garbage container outside was completely full with the previous occupants garbage and had a huge maggot infestation.. There is a lot of mold on the lounge chairs by the pool and the dock as well as the pool deck and the dock. Neither barbeque is safe to cook on because they are coated with tons of rust. The tiki hut has a huge whole in the center of the top that you can only see if you stand underneath it. The carpet in the living room is badly stained and the cocktail table is broken. The stools in the dining room and kitchen have holes in the upholstery. I took pictures of everything including the electric meter when we got there and when we were leaving because we were going to be charged for electricity we used. I called LCEC (electric company for the area) and was informed how much they charge. I sent Cathy an email regarding the electric and she said the information I was given was wrong and that the fees are a lot higher and there are also other fees involved. Cathy charged us from Sunday to Sunday which included washing and drying the dirty linens of the previous occupant. I finally heard from Koen (manager) on Wednesday that week and he never apologized for anything and was very rude.

Owner's Response: We apologize for the late cleaning, the customer is right on this. After this incident, we hired a professional cleaning company. In regards the electricity, the tenant was quoted a base rate from the electricity company, it did not include the taxes and the fees that are levied as well. This house has now a smart meter and the consumption can be read online. No interpretations, just plain simple rates and a graph. The furniture has been upgraded by the owners with a new BBQ grill, carpets are professionally cleaned, new stools around the table, new coffee table.
