A charming 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage nestled in five peaceful acres of soaring pines. Tranquility Pines is a sparkling clean retreat, surrounded by gorgeous acres of forest. The cottage offers a gracious layout, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the many wild birds, or gathering with friends for a BBQ. The manager for the property lives just down the street, so they are readily available to answer any questions or handle any concerns. Last year's wildfire did not effect the property.

Tranquility Pines Cottage is nestled in 5 acres of pine tree forest, down a private, gated drive. The peaceful surroundings offer the privacy and serenity rarely found on the outskirts of so many exciting venues, like Austin City Limits, South-by-Southwest, and Circuit of the America. In addition, Bastrop State Park, and the Hyatt, Spa, and golf club at Lost Pines are only a short drive away.

Well-Appointed Private Treasure

We stayed here for 2 nights . It was so much better than the hotel option that was contemplated. The cottage has everything you need and more and the hospitality of the family made the experience that much better. Bonus: the kids stayed outside most the time enjoying the wooded area and nice lawn. For the adults, it was difficult to make ourselves leave the peaceful front porch swing or the sunny back deck. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The only small issue we encountered is we forgot to ask for no artificial fragrances for the bed linens and such as we are sensitive to that sort of thing, otherwise, not a single concern. The quick return of our deposit was much appreciated. Thank you so much for the
very pleasant experience.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Excellent get-away spot

This cottage was everything that was advertized and more. We enjoyed the birds, squirrels and possums as well as the lovely setting and the manager went out of her way to accommodate special requests, even buying us a card table to use for our bridge weekend. Highly recommend this rental.

A Nest in the Woods

Tranquility Pines Cottage was LOVELY. Cathy, the owner's daughter, was exceedingly nice and even greeted us with farm fresh eggs and herbs. We grilled hamburgers one night on the back porch. There are so many windows throughout the living room that even when you're inside, you feel like you are practically in the outdoors. We enjoyed swinging on the front porch and enjoying the sunset. There are so many places to sit, indoors and out. My infant son loved exploring.

It is about a ten minute drive into Bastrop, and right by the state park. If you want to get away where you can't hear any cars drive by and desire peace and quiet, this is the place. And it has three full/queen beds, one twin, and a VERY comfortable couch also. Will definitely be back.

Perfect!!!!!

My husband and 2 boys rented this house for Spring Break this year. It was absolutely perfect for us. Such a peaceful setting. The house was very clean with lots of towels and blankets. Cathy, our hostess, was SO nice to us. She brought us farm fresh eggs upon our arrival. She even allowed our boys to pet her donkeys, goat, dogs and cat. I loved lying in the hammock by the pond. There is plenty of space for parking at the home - we brought our trailer and we had ample room to park it along with our SUV. If you are looking for a serene home to rent in Bastrop, this is it! We love Bastrop and will return to this house each time we go there.

Tranquility Cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family's Thanksgiving vacation to the Austin area. The cottage itself was roomy enough for the seven of us, immaculately clean, completely stocked with wonderful books, games, and movies. There were enough kitchen supplies to cook a complete Thanksgiving dinner! The setting is convenient to town, but private and wooded. We felt that we had complete privacy for the kids to play, to relax on the hammock overlooking the pond, and to sit and catch up on the porch swing and rockers. The manager was accomodating and helpful (even providing us with fresh eggs, snacks, and a bone for the dog!) without being intrusive. The photos do not do justice to the comfort and elegance of the home. I can recommend this home wholeheartedly and I know we will be coming back again!
