My wife and I purchased this cabin because of its great location. Our property backs up to the Cherokee National Forest and provides great privacy. we enjoy driving through the mountains and fishing on the lake. My wife's sister recently visited and they had the time of their lives! They went horseback riding, antiquing and shopping just to name a few activities. So as you can tell the activities are many and varied. This is a great recreational area w/ many outdooor activities also.

While staying at Lainie's Lodge you cannot see a house in sight. The cabin has been placed in center of property w/ a long driveway! You have a rocking chair front porch and also a back deck. All your firewood will be provided for the wood burning fireplace and the outdoor fire pit.

Great Getaway

Some friends and I were looking for a weekend getaway spot that was away from everything but close to rafting on the Ocoee. Couldn't have found a better spot! The house was much nicer than we could have imagined. We were miles off the beaten path with nothing around you but the wilderness. Great place for a couple or family to enjoy the great outdoors. There are several restaurants and a grocery store nearby if you don't feel like cooking or forgot to bring something. But if you did forget something, chances are it's in the cabin already! We were presently surprised to find that everything we needed was already there. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and I look forward to staying here again!

Best Weekend EVER!

Oh My! I could not have wished for a better time. We did a girls weekend and wasn't sure what to expect since I have never truly been to the forest. So driving up the mountain we were like, where in the world are we going. We're going to die in the woods. LOL! But once we got to the cabin, it was absolutely stunning and so very peaceful. We enjoyed nature and just relaxed. It was close to all of our activities, whitewater rafting and ziplining. And the people are the nicest you will ever meet. And yes Dam Diner's food was exquisite. We had a wonderful time in your home. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back!

Spent time with family as well as going to a recital at Lee University. This cabin is out of the way definitely. Quiet and peaceful. Used the fireplace for a few nights what a bonus. The home is nice and sunny. Walked along the roads every morning- Great workout as the road is a bit hilly. Will go back for sure.

Owner's Response: We love the secluded feeling you get at our place, yet it's only 4 1/2 miles to the main road and close to so many activities. We are pleased to hear that you'll come back again. We offer a 10 percent discount to return renters.

Great Place to Stay Lannie's Lodge

Great Place to Stay Lannie's Lodge

My Husband and I travelled to Tenessese in August 2012 to visit family. It was the 1st time we had been so we were not sure what to expect. We were fortunate to find Lannie's Lodge. We really enjoyed our stay. It is peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is just as you see on the photos. The place was very clean and had all the amenities you need to be comfortable. You can do some hiking and sightseeing without having to go for miles to get anywhere. I would recomend that you do the Whitewater rafting and the ziplining (thats if you are up for heights). Take beverages and food with you at least for one night if you do not plan on leaving the cabin until the next day. There is always the " Dam Dinner" within about 5-7 mins drive where the food is good and priced well.
Thank you for sharing your home. We definitely recommend Lainie's Lodge to folks travelling to the area.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for staying a week at our place. Most people come only for the weekend, but there is so much to see and do,plus you need time to just kick back and relax. We never get tired of eating at the Ocoee Dam Diner! We are so glad that everything was to your liking. Hope to see you back sometime.

We spent a girls weekend getaway at the cabin. Location was excellent and close to our white water
Rafting facility on the Ocoee. We had a blast! Would definitely consider staying there again. Thanks!

Owner's Response: So glad you had a good time. We love to go to the Olympic center, set up our chairs on the rocks, and watch all the rafters and kayakers go by...it's both hypnotic, and often hilarious...priceless! Thanks for choosing our place and would love to have you back in the future.
