Why Linda chose Ocoee

My wife and I purchased this cabin because of its great location. Our property backs up to the Cherokee National Forest and provides great privacy. we enjoy driving through the mountains and fishing on the lake. My wife's sister recently visited and they had the time of their lives! They went horseback riding, antiquing and shopping just to name a few activities. So as you can tell the activities are many and varied. This is a great recreational area w/ many outdooor activities also.

What makes this cabin unique

While staying at Lainie's Lodge you cannot see a house in sight. The cabin has been placed in center of property w/ a long driveway! You have a rocking chair front porch and also a back deck. All your firewood will be provided for the wood burning fireplace and the outdoor fire pit.

Wonderful vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our four sons and loved the view, seclusion, and cozy cabin. Other than the beds being a little small (queen size, I am 6'2" and son is 6'4") everything was phenomenal! We enjoyed grilling on the back porch, playing games by the fire, and the neighbor's dog Elvis was a hoot :)

The owner left great directions for contact info, appliance usage, and anything else one might have needed. Everything was very clean and stocked, so come and enjoy!

We would certainly recommend this cabin to others and will keep it as a possibility for the next time we visit the area.

Fun meeting place for family

  • 4 of 5

Both sides of our family live nearby so this cabin was the perfect meet-in-the-middle spot for my son's birthday. We stayed last year too. Maybe this is becoming a tradition. We enjoyed Elvis the dog. Used the kitchen a lot. Loved the fire pit outside. The cabin has quite a few steps (I don't think they are in any pictures) something to keep in mind with older folks and small kids. A baby gate (a cheap tension one tucked away in the linen closet) would have been icing on the cake. Rodney, the caretaker, was nice too (called for trash pickup and last min lockbox issue). Cell phone coverage was minimal so be sure to have all check in and check out instructions in hand!

Owner's Response: Thanks for returning this year. We would be honored to be a part of your annual birthday reunion. Because of the pitch of the land, there is a full flight of deck stairs leading to the backyard. That is why there is a sturdy gate across that. I tend to go out the front porch with 5 steps and walk around the house (especially if I am carrying all the makings for s'mores for the fire pit). We keep a baby gate in our shed for when our granddaughter comes, thanks to your suggestion , we will leave it in the bedroom closet next time we are up there.

60th Birthday

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for out of town guests for a 60th birthday party. The cabin was just perfect. It is very well hidden in the woods and private. Very clean and well taken care of. I would recommend to anyone looking for a get away in the woods.

Wonderful Getaway

This was absolutely the cleanest cabin we have ever rented. The property was beautiful and well maintained, and the cabin was lovely and very comfortable. The décor was perfect, and already decked out for Christmas! It was perfect. We plan to return

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at multiple cabins around the Smokies and this place is one of the best experiences we've had. Perfect location for rafting on the Ocoee and not too far from Chattanooga.

The cabin is beautifully decorated both inside and out, well taken care of, clean, and cozy; it truly feels like home away from home!
